My Ghost can’t take much more of this...
During the Savathun Song strike one of the comments Taeko-3 can make is something along the lines of the topic title. That got me thinking about how Guardians can actually be killed (not counting when everyone lost their light)
If your ghost is destroyed and you die then that’s obviously it for you, but was that what was Taeko talking about or could she be saying that your ghost eventually runs out of light for you?

I was reading the grimoire that talking about the fire team that Eris was in, and it says about at the end of the grimoire that talks about Eris, that a Guardian can be killed enough in a Darkness zone that the Light completely drains from your Ghost.

no they can die though by being shot or completely drained of light personally ive read most of the lore and ive found that is the case

3 AntwortenThe only guardian that i can think of that dead while the ghost lived was Jaren Ward. I can inly assume that that was a result of Dregdon Yor's corrupted Thorn.

8 AntwortenIn D1 they had fallen ghost scattered around the different planets. You go collect (revive) them and you get a grimoir card for this. I had been curious about this. If you revive the fallen ghost does that mean they can just go revive their guardian? Or do they just go find a new one?

Honestly I'm surprised ghosts don't wear more armor. They probably should be more armored/shielded/taped-inside-a-box than Guardians.

The Hive have been known to slowly drain the light from ghosts, preventing resurrection. A prime example of this is Eris Morn.

Ghosts and Guardians can both be drained of Light. There are three prime ways to kill a Guardian: 1) Destroy the Guardian's Ghost then kill the Guardian. 2) Drain the Guardian of his/her light and then kill the Guardian. I believe a Guardian can be drained of Light whilst dead as well, but I may be wrong. 3) Drain the Guardian's Ghost of its Light then kill the Guardian.
