The Raids are easy for some, difficult for others, and impossible for many. What's the stats? I recall it was lass than 40% finish raids in general? Happy to be corrected. I pushed for 2 or 3 levels for Raids and got nowhere. Instead, they introduced a more difficult version. I thought that I'd do an easy version of any raid, for zero reward, just so I could get through it, and learn the last parts too. You can't learn how to play it from YouTube. You gotta do it! Sherpas are good and tolerable people, but spending so much time teaching the Raid, while waiting for revive timers, or worse, having the raid terminated because too many were dead or something, doesn't help.

I share the same feeling (nothing to do) and I'm not a casual player. I have many hours into D1 over 3 characters. I'll try to play as much as I can. I'm already in for the the next DLC (pre-ordered the whole kibosh), so I'll play when stuff is fresh... but the shelf-life on this game is very VERY short. The one thing they can do is to do a full-reverse on their whole static rolls on gear approach. With painfully few fun activities to do, and no reason to do those activities (gear)... yeah. I don't expect them to make such a dramatic change, so I'll sit back and wait.
Nobody cares about Eververse. The reason why casual players (most of the playerbase) leave is that there is nothing to do for them. Raids are inaccessible for newcomers and are nerve wrecking. Trials and crucible feels like a punishment for the regular joe, not to mention timed Nightfalls. Add something to progress and enjoy for the regular joe and maybe some on my casual clan come back and play again.
I agree 100%.

The Raid School is recruiting! - alt
Even for the hardcore players there's nothing to do, the content just isn't FUN As for the raid you can find groups in guided games, find groups for teaching on the DestinySherpa Reddit, sometimes patient groups on the app, it's way more accessible now than D1, the problem is that the raids in D2 just lack enticing rewards, the armor is meh, the weapons aren't special, most of the encounters aren't even immersive or entertaining (I do like the Argos fight though) -
I find the raid just too long, hard and boring. Cannot be bothered with prestige and even if the loot was cool may not bother tbh.

It's only long and difficult when learning it, once the team has it down it's sub 45mins easy if taking underbelly and the raid lair as well -
This team you speak of is always different for the casual player. I have never raided with the same team twice. Not even in D1.

Trust me I know I used to primarily use LFG, but adding the ones you enjoyed playing with and practicing together you can kinda create a team, it's what I did -
Then raiding isn't for you.

I stopped raiding at WoTM when I felt that the weapons and armour weren't anything special. This was further proved with the current raid. I don't like the looks of the armour either.
-
People tell me since I stopped raiding I'm a casual... fine... I just don't find the raid fun or enjoyable. The armor and weapons suck as well... so not much to really go after.

Bearbeitet von ScotchEggsRules: 1/13/2018 7:16:56 PMWotM weapons were generally acknowledged as being great. Armour too...

Compared to the array of weapons available at the time, I felt it wasn't worth it. Just a personal opinion

I like WOTM itself, but the weapons were definitely lacking, only the sniper and AR were good, the armor was decent (mainly the gauntlets) Hopefully they can fix the rewards, time will tell -
Exotic pulse rocked.

I found it fun for a short while but never really used it much after the first few days (I wasn't a pulse guy though) -
Couldn't put it down, but you had the option to use random god rolled legendary weapons as well. You simply don't in D2 as they're all fixed.

I don't even mind the fixed roles, as my favorite D1 weapons were fixed What I mind is the lack of options and variety, most of the rolls/weapons are garbage leaving a very small number of weapons worth using If we had more archetypes and 10+ guns per archetype with varying roles it wouldn't be a problem -
In my opinion, fixed rolled guns in d1 were only strong because of the random rolled guns. They had to be good and have a unique feature on them in order for you to use them over a near perfect random rolled gun. Also the time to kill in d1 compared to d2 is part of the problem. I loved the fatebringer and the gjallerhorn and most of the other raid and exotic guns, but what kept me playing was farming for the perfect roll that I wanted on a gun. I truly enjoyed trying out random perks on a gun. I had a grim citizen with danger close, appended mag, and zen moment and it was a blast to use, the perks went very nicely together especially for my play style. D2 guns just seem to force players into a certain play style instead of allowing players to get the good guns rolled to fit the individuals players play style.

The people on this forum live in a bubble where everyone has done the raid 10 times and has flawless trials runs and 2+ kd. That's simply nowhere near the truth for most of the players. They don't read these crappy forums.
-
Agreed. Less than 10% of players ever go flawless and less then 15% have completed a raid. I cannot for the life of me remember where I read these numbers, but they're out there.
-
You can see the achievement % on psn and xbl to get an idea of raid completions across the player base. It's a lot more than what u think... Just saying.
-
I've checked the Xbox achievements, on Xbox live... My recall 10% flawless 15% raid Xbox live 14% flawless 16% raid Pretty accurate, wouldn't you say?
