I been there for the last couple months and plenty of gamers are playing D1 as well.
D2 is a flop and all Bungie is doing is trying to scramble to get by. Trying to pull the exact samethings that happen in D1 vanilla.
Blaming last gen, now blaming new gen.
Cutting content and scrapping part of the game to spread it out like "expansions" The huge difference is though. This isn't 2014 when they actually had legit issues before the game came out as well as the lies and presenting the game under false pretense. Like D2 that was presented under false pretense.
Employees in D1 were dropping like flies leaving this company to scramble to get things rolling. D2 they have a few hundred extra employees. That means more work should of been done but it wasn't.
D1 vanilla Staten left the company a year before the game was released. Do you think them scapping his story might of had anything to do with it? And Bungie did it a year before the game was to be released. Not that Bungie didn't have 6 years to decide to scrap his story before the game was released, but what do I know...
D2, now Bunge is saying we scraped D2 and started over and (poor little Luke had only 18 months) to work with this sequel. Good job Bungie, put a man that had (no experience) in being a lead and have him lead a new team that didn't have a feel for the game. Bravo!
Then you have to consider how the CEO was replaced. How convenient with scraping D2 and starting over.
D1, no micro but they had that 500 million Activision gave them to create content. Then later on comes the Micro. Bungie stated that it was only going to be for cosmetics and said it was to help the live team.
D2, welcome to Dawning and the great news of the micro progression coming soon to a eververse box near you. Oh, Don't forget to spend more money on Crimson day. We thank you for the Dawning extra Xmas bonus even though COO was majorly lacking as TDB did almost 4 years ago. You know how all them events like....
Festival of cost
Red bull
Refer a friend
Pop-tarts
$35 boost packs
The 500 million we got from Activision
The bonus our company gets for meeting deadlines from Activision
The Micro that we still get from D1
None of that was enough money to create a decent expansion and we didn't have the man power. Well, that is what will try to convince the new gamers, but Shhh...
Oh yeah, I forgot. We ripped out everything that made Destiny what it was to sell back to you later. See, we listen :)
The over all truth here is. D2 is a flop and a lot of gamers don't want to admit it. A lot of them are still hanging on to that false hope that Bungie will "fix" Destiny almost 4 years later even though Bungie has no problem spitting in their face. I don't know about the rest of you, but I was taught not to be a doormat. D1 had it's issues but no where near this bad as D2 actually is. D2 should of picked up off from ROI that Bungie could of worked from the existing content and made a great game. But they failed and they failed hard core. Not because they couldn't make the game, It's because of their greed that has gotten in the way.

Wow your a rebel! You can’t afford a new game? Only 2 games you got are Destiny 1 and 2? At this point you should ask yourself if you made proper life choices based on the fact you can only muster up 60 bucks every three years? Your poor parents. I bet they just tell everyone that you died. Much less embarrassing than the truth.

This is the dumbest thing I have ever read on this forum lol Good luck on all that...

Bearbeitet von Eu4ia15: 1/11/2018 10:19:38 PMOdin I totally agree Good post bud Too bad there are players out there still who believe that the income isn't enough so they NEED micros They either forget what we were told about the reason for eververse or they simply were not present Eververse introduction ( notice the way it sounds like players had concerns with it. It's at the bottom ) https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/13672 Limited eververse stock ( the accepted model that worked at the time) https://www.destinypedia.com/Eververse_Trading_Company I thought this info might help any new players who may have not got the whole story

It has been, and continues to be, our goal to deliver updates to the game. Going forward, our live team is also looking to grow beyond vital updates and improvements to focus on world events, experiences, and feature requests.
"future requests? lol But yeah, free to play games use the micro to build their game. Bungie is doing nothing but being greed and they have Not provided the content they said they would. On top of that, they even made the comment...
We created a system that allows us to make more content much easier
Really? easier then D1 yet D2 is lacking a lot more then D1 vanilla did. Their lying has gotten way out of control and it needs to stop.

Agreed fully Odin

Destiny 2 is working exactly as intended, A CASH GRAB. Why else would all the things that we used to grind for in D1 be locked away behind a paywall in D2. CASH GRAB. Why else would they lie to us about the exp bar having issues, only to double the supposed amount it took for us to level up, only to get the same rewards that we can spend money on and get more of? CASH GRAB. Why else would they make the end game completely cosmetic? CASH GRAB Why do they continue to string us along and tell us bits of information at a time, making baby step upgrades to both payed dlc and seasonal events? CASH GRAB. Why did both the last dlc and seasonal update combined have more cosmetics than actual content, fixes, and changes? CASH GRAB. D2 is a cash grab

This game would of been 10 times better if Bungie never signed a contract with Activision. Bungie had a chance to move forward with D2, But they thought grabbing as much cash as they can was more important then making a game for the gamers as well as themselves. This is why D2 is so screwed up in so many ways. Got to give then a hand thouhg. For knowing how to lie to their player base and not feel any guilt about it.

The contract was signed with activision long before D1 even existed

Bungie said they wanted to make Destiny, but Microsoft wouldn't let them, so they left for that and other reasons. They left Microsoft before making a deal with Craptivision.

Bearbeitet von TheShadow-cali: 1/12/2018 12:16:11 AMNothing personal, but most know that and Bungie is at as much fault when it comes to the Micro in this game. Bungie & Activision had to sign in front of a Judge to get the Micro pasted. So when gamers try to use this, it's Activisions fault. Hog Wash...

Exactly. Their main focus when adding new content is, “How is this going to make us more money,” instead of, “how is this going to make this game better.”
