Let's cut to the chase. The big gameplay changes in Destiny 2 are not working. The dual primary system is not working. The slow recharge of abilities is not working. The mobility-resilience-recovery stats on armor are not working. The mod and shader systems are not working. The 4v4 only Crucible is not working. Peer-to-peer is still not working. The weekly Milestones are not working. So much of Destiny 2 is a dud that the game would need major changes to bring back the fun factor of Destiny 1.
How can Bungie make Destiny 2 as fun as Destiny 1 without completely re-doing everything? How can we go into the next major DLC without making all of gear obsolete again? I really do not know. I just know that I cannot continue into year 2 of Destiny 2 if the game plays the same as it does today, and I don't believe I could take another reset of all my progress.

Is that true?

Dang, are we playing the same game? How about the loot systems for both normal play and the raid need to be changed? You didn’t mention how Masterwork weapons are not really “mastwrworked”anything with its plain and boring system that just increases base stats w/o adding any actual perks to the guns. Double primaries work fairly well. I find it far more useful than I had thought I would and I find it easier than the D1 system. Supers charge rather well given that Bungie did not want the game to be played where one player is the “Wrecking Crew” on a team. They’ve made it more team oriented where the players need to feed off each other to achieve greatness. They’ve now made it so you also produce less far greater than we could with the addition of the orb making on Masterworks, I’m producing 25-30 orbs a strike. 4v4 isn’t bad, perhaps you’re just too use to the chaotic spamming shitstorm of D1. What’s wrong with the shader system other than we have less storage slots available than there are shaders and we can’t delete them by quantity? We wanted them to be put on weapons, ships, speeders, got em. Still waiting for swords though. How are the milestones not working? The recovery, mobility and resilience work well. Are you wanting to have grenades every 20 seconds to spam them? The armor mods work rather well. I tend to stack my ability recovery mods along with kinetic/energy handling and I seem to get my abilities rather easily and with the orbs from my other fireteam members tend to get 2-4 supers a strike, maybe more depending on if there’s a Nightstalker amongst the group. Forgive me but the game still has plenty of fun factor. I think you’re just a little too hung up on the cheesy easiness of D1 and it’s systems.

this is probably the last activision game il ever buy had enogh of this end game loot boxs

Just playing till the second of my pre bought expansions comes out and I am done with destiny D2 sucks basically a copy of d1 but worse Total lazy greedy bungie

I know little about game design but enough to understand a major reversal is not possible here. Among other things, studio gambled on the gambling mind set of players and it doesn't work, at least not for me. D1 had enough tons of charm and positives to outweigh the negatives. As a casual player, I found millions of ways to enjoy the game. Not feeling it here, frustration took over. Absolutely love Bungie's environmental artists (can't quite say the same for armor design this time around), the Tower looks beautiful right now but that doesn't make the game work any better. The shooting/weapon mechanics is still intuitive and the best I've experienced in FPS, but my guardian's strength is so underwhelming compared to D1. Might as well be a Spartan, definitely not feeling the space magic here lol.

IMO only logical option is, re-work Destiny 1, add D2 content to it and release it without asking for money. Return back to original 10 year plan and add content to one Main Game.
-
I hope Anthem is the game we're all wanting Destiny to be I mean Bioware definitely has the information available
-
It can't. They should scrap any further work on D2 and start on D3 with Y1D1 as the model. Just add mantling and quick travel.
-
How can Destiny continue without another big reset?
It can't. The reset would have to pretty much release Destiny 1 all over again, at the end of RoI; and then add in the current pathetic content that D2 has, and then expand upon and vastly deepen not only character customization, but put in -ACTUAL- weapon/armor forging into the game. Anything short of that, and this game will continue to decline at an atrociously fast pace. But Bungie can't sell any of that in the Eververse, so it's not going to happen.

Bearbeitet von ORANGE7 MAN BAD: 12/20/2017 3:25:31 PMdestiny 1 remastered may save the franchise , even a 4k upscaled port of a 4 old game would be better than the destiny2 crap

Totally agree. All fun is gone from this junk. Unfortunately if 1 million or more people still play this garbage, I doubt they will change much. It's a flawed design philosophy and I don't even know who the audience for this game is anymore. They have taken steps to piss off both hardcore and casual players....
-
Even if they did a full reset of the game, I doubt it would save it. Bungie began burning bridges with us from the day Destiny 2 launched and the only thing they've done since is burn more and more. Instead of asking if a full reset is needed, ask if Destiny as a franchise should just be shut down.

The Destiny series is on a thread. Listen to people, the community.
-
Make it an RPG again
-
Make Master Cheif a Vanguard
-
They are slowly doing it charging us for old stuff to make it work with the new system 😭
-
They could easily remake this game they just need to change there modes put the different crucible maps back re add tons of armour and weapons add strike specific loot and random perk rolls
-
Bungie's confused! They don't know what they want this game to be. Is it pve? Is it competitive pvp? Is it casual or hardcore? Being somewhere in between doesn't work. Pvp is a much smaller community than pve, yet pvp is always getting balances when required. Pve players have to suffer the consequences.
-
I feel like Eververse is the big problem. If they just got rid of that alone I would be happy. I can live with them gradually fixing the other stuff, but I want Tess to die. The fact that all of the good endgame loot is hidden behind an RNG paywall is absolutely unacceptable to me.

We appreciate the feedback, by the way just a Friendly reminder guardian's to stop by Everse , Luke Smith and Mark noseworthy highly recommend the experience and many Thanks for your contribution. Friendship 4 ever :)

It really cant. And i dont see how bungie can have a shred of credibility after what they did to players with d2 unless they roll over on some people and let them go down for this. The only way forward. The d2 heads need to go down publically. D1 gets expanded, at cost as a sorry to the players.
-
Honestly ready for Bungie to let the next expansion for Destiny 2 be the last and can it all together. Destiny 1 completely overshadows this lackluster cash grab known as Destiny 2. I believe it would be more effective at this point to use this as a lesson learned "that the community does not appreciate the lazy greed driven stance Bungie has taken with D2" and move on. either to create a truly innovative sequel that this community has long anticipated from years of holding out for or let destiny go and start a new IP so they can drag there name out of the mud. Just my opinion.

Bearbeitet von BoomboxCollosus: 12/19/2017 11:36:52 PMThey need to get their integrity back by sorting out their house and getting their transparently false narrative out of PR. This latest DLC was the culmination of evidence from everything we heard before , but now, for the whole world to see in plain sight. Bungie needs to do an apology tour and possibly throw some liars under the bus for good measure. Not just a "We are listening to your feedback" nonsense. As far as PRACTICAL steps forward. I liked some suggestions here from the forum. 1.Genious to bring back some D1 content posibly like Prison of Elders and the like. You don't even really need a story arc for that. This game needs recusitated ASAP. 2. Blacklist OP weapons in PVP. We loved our powerful weapons in D1. the fact that they are STILL balancing and nerfing just for "fairness " sake in PVP is uncanny and effects the whole game which is ruining alot of that over the top D1 experince. The prometheus lens is the latest example, but how fun and effective was that in PVE? 3. NO .HIDDEN . THROTTLING.......NO EXCUSES. A system that is UP FRONT and honest is a system worth our time. Fine, make Eververse have some monetised engrams with dance moves. it doesntt effect game play until NOW where it seems to be more of the focus than the game itself. The system is rigged like an FPS gambling simulator and the catalyst of this new ddo doo DLC has made it apparent that the game itself is suffering because the focus is to monetise content instead of creating content that is long term and meaningful. Be upfront or lose players. THAT is where we are at now. I won't rant, but that's the 3 biggest gripes/ suggestions I have right now.

Most changes were largely positive. They took a lot of the fun away and agree with supers recharging to slow, but new changes with weapons and stuff means it's slightly easier to get supers. Some grenades got hit to hard but largely positive changes. Charging grenades every 25 seconds was to much as was one hit sticks and shotgun warriors never touching a primary.
-
They will keep "fixing" it with the upcoming DLCs and when they finally have something decent they will just say Fu%# It, scrap it and make a Destiny 3 that is even worse than D2 (how they will manage that i don't know, but they will find a way) ^_^ Cheers, Happy holidays to you guardians ^_^

I agree with a lot of what you have said. It is a pretty popular opinion. To me, the most important change that needs to come is Randomly Rolled Weapons and Armor. If they fixed this, I could live with the rest.
