The "Opponents defeated" statistic counts all defeated opponents. This includes assists on kills. So if you shoot an opponent together, you both get a point towards that statistic. However, the hard point counter of the game type only counts the direct kills - no assists. Your statistic tells me that your team likely teamshot quite some enemies. The enemy team did as well, but apparently they got one more hard kill.
