I believe bungie is going to be fixing this issue. Apparently they addressed it. After the whole EA scandal they must know that they can't get away with that sort of thing now without any sort of backlash from players.
I think times are changing, shit has hit the fan and no way people will stand for this kind of thing anymore. Have some faith and be patient... or err, more patient? Lol.
I did buy the digital deluxe edition with access to all dlcs and I DO NOT LIKE what they are doing with people who have not purchased the dlc. I feel bad especially for the pc players.

They addressed it today . They are still going to lock people out of content on weeks where trials / nightfall maps are from dlc . Also I’m wondering if mercury has a flash point ? That’s potentially 3 activities in a week vanilla players might still be missing out on . I have the dlc and honestly I’m just utterly appalled with this situation . More bad publicity is the last thing bungie needed for this game . The fact they hadn’t considered how this would effect vanilla players before releasing the dlc tells you all you need to know about the internal chaos at bungie . I can only assume this is a result of epically poor management across many departments .
