So in the bungie stream, it was revealed that materials were needed by grinding strikes, crucible and public events to forge these vex themed weapons. This is a good start. BUT, I believe Bungie has missed the mark on this, at least in terms of potential. Random rolls don't seem to be coming back. So my idea is: There are 11 forgeable weapons. If Bungie were to say, OK, there are 5 variants of each 11 guns, whereby ONE perk is different, this would increase the grind further to find the variation you want. IE: Gun1 - Snapshot sight, Adaptive Frame, Firefly Gun 1 (Variation 2) - Snapshot sight, Adaptive Frame, Cocoon Gun 1 (Variation 3) Snapshot sight, Adaptive Frame, Outlaw. This could be a start, and if successful could be rolled out across all other guns in the game. IF a OP god gun is found, then they could simply reel that one variation in.
