This has been so far the most shitty experience I had on Destiny 2. Did a guided Nightfall game with my teammates and another player. Everything was going until I suddenly crashed. Something that luckily rarely happens. Relaunched the game immediately hoping to join back my teammates with as few downtime as possible and to my surprise... Not only cannot join my teammates because I for whatever reason don't have the permission anymore, I also have an oathbraker debuff that prevents me to do ANY GAME for the next hour. My guild oathbraker score is reduced as well. So, let's recap. Penalty 1: the game crashes because of a fault in the GAME Penalty 2: I cannot join my teammates Penalty 3: my teammates get wiped because they are now 2 instead of 3 players Penalty 4: I cannot play another nightfall game for the next hour Penalty 5: my guild lost reputation score WHAT THE FRACK! This is a deeply flawed and lazy design. I just want to stop playing Destiny 2 altogether right now because of the system that 4x penalized players. Here is a very simple fix to this whole mess: Allow player disconnected to rejoin for a period of time. If they don't, they give the oathkeeper debuff. Simple no?
