Idea Pitch for Weapons and Legendary Shards

I've had an idea in my head I've been wanting to share for a while. It has to do with legendary shards and weapons. I apologize if something like this has been said before. We have excessive legendary shards, and I know of a simple solution: simply allow us to buy rep from vendors with shards or even sell shards for glimmer. Another bigger idea has to do with Banshee-44. He's the weaponsmith in both D1 and D2, but he's more of a vendor in both games. I think there's potential for some fun gun customization opportunities with him. Imagine this, for every rep engram you receive from him, you get a special currency (just one or maybe chance for bonus instead of weapon/mod/shader). You can spend this currency to uninstall a perk off of a gun. This creates a sort of "perk component" that you need about 3 (or perhaps different amounts depending on the perk) of to make a full perk. All the perks, except the intrinsic perk, can be uninstalled. Once you have a perk, you can install it into a gun that has an empty perk slot (but there are incompatible perks, such as an smg getting explosive rounds). If you find a duplicate of a gun, you can perhaps infuse it into your preferred one for a guaranteed +1 attack, at least until power level cap. Maybe you can do other bonuses, like using that gun in place of Banshee-44's currency. I do feel there should be something you could do to better your original gun if you find duplicates of it, like perhaps add another slot for some kind of minor mod? And the more duplicates you put into it, the better this other mod can be? (Mod as in, +1 increase in a stat(s) or something else interesting) Another thing is Banshee-44's inventory. Right now it's just mods. What if every week or every day, he has one random legendary mod for sale and maybe 1 or 2 random empty gun frames (guns with 10 power and all perk slots empty). These could be bought with legendary shards or his currency. Maybe these empty frames have a small chance of having an intrinsic perk or another perk that you normally can't get for that weapon? This would give high incentive to farm random guns and give value to random engrams. People could work hard to truly customize their favorite guns to their liking. This would also be a great place to spend our legendary shards. What do you think?
