I will be pleasantly surprised if they make positive changes. This is a loot based game, and there is simply no loot worth grinding for. Fatebringer was worth the countless hours of grinding to get it because it just changed the way your character was able to work through PvE. Black Hammer was worth the grind (I played normal Crota goodness knows how many times and never got it). G-Horn was worth the grind. There were weapons worth the grind up until Rise of Iron. Then, the only thing that I think people consistently praised was Outbreak Prime.
Why change the game so much? Why remove god-mode PvE weapons that were worth grinding for? I wish there was a Dark Drinker equivalent, but there isn’t. I wish there was a Sleeper equivalent, but there isn’t. I with there was a Fatebringer equivalent, but there isn’t.
In a loot based game, where is the loot that is worth playing all those hours to get?
As it stands, arguably one of the best weapons in the game (PvE and PvP) is Nameless Midnight, and Zavala just hands it to you after they “do two strikes” quest.
Bungie, I know you think elemental primaries broke your game. I know you think god-mode weapons broke your game. They didn’t. They were what made the game WORTH THE GRIND!
Bring back god-mode weapons or the game will die.

Because the people who can't get them will complain the people who have them are showing off.

Tough. There are things in life you have to earn. I didn’t just get my $200K/year cash compensation handed to me (yes, business executives play video games). I earned it. I went to night classes. I earned my MBA at a state university. There is sh*t in life you have to earn!!!!! We need god-mode weapons/armors that are difficult to earn. That is what makes a loot based game worth playing.
