what's crazy to me is that you think the game should have everything the first game DID NOT HAVE ON RELEASE.
almost all the crap that seems crazy to you did NOT come out until months and months later. hell... the first raid wasn't even available right out the gate.
this thread and all the people agreeing with it are what adults call "the whining of entitled millenials"

You just went full retard.

Sequels (good ones, anyway) typically expand and improve upon what was already there. Not strip it to the bone and sell it at full price with a season pass while regressing in just about every aspect of its design. In other words, I had more incentive to keep playing vanilla Destiny 1, it being the shitshow at launch that it was, compared to vanilla Destiny 2. There was more to do in one of the worst Triple-A launches in years than there is to do in its direct sequel; its second chance. And you think that's excusable? Thank God you're the minority here.
-
Doomsday, you have one character. Please go away.
-
Whining entitlement? Did you get the game for free? If you are happy with the game. That’s more than fair. Value is subjective. If millions of people feel they did not get what they paid for, that is their right to complain. I played Destiny everyday. I’m already bored to death by Destiny 2. But I still hope they make something out of the game I just paid $80 for. The only way that will happen is if people voice their opinion. Vote with your wallet. All they care about is the money. Stop feeding em for doing the bare minimum. Maybe they’ll actually put some effort into this poor franchise before it dies completely.

This game is a ton of fun.

Just another gamer again looking for attention and we all fell for it!

This is the SEQUEL not a goddamn reboot
-
Seems like a reboot to me
-
That's just it though. It doesn't feel like a sequel. D2 feels like a reboot. Luke Smith said something like D1 was the issue zero comic, the pilot TV show. Bungie then went and reimagined what Destiny should be and here we are with the result. Just shows how much creativity the guys that left took with them. The vision for D2 falls far short of the original Destiny. D2 isn't much more than just another shooter.
-
Why wouldn't d2 vanilla have everything d1 had. It was already all there

Bearbeitet von iktharius: 10/20/2017 7:59:53 PMThe first raid was available September 16th 2014, exactly one week after the game was released..... http://destiny.wikia.com/wiki/Vault_of_Glass Edited for link.

so that's the one thing you take from my post? i said "even the raid wasn't available right out the gate" which is a true statement. Destiny released on the 9th. the raid was a few days later. as for VIRTUALLY(which i also said in my first response) everything else you batched about, it wasn't in the base game. they added it over time through various expansions. some of it was even free, which is likely to be the case this time around as well. if you want to quit playing, go for it. i'm sure you no-lifed your way to three 305's already (i have only just barely gotten ONE to 305 a few days ago because i have a life outside of destiny) so why are you still around?
-
I have a full time job, college, family, and a social life but i almost have all exotic weapons, all characters to 305 and i have gone flawless every time trials came around and all have finished the raid multiple times so i dont see what your point is. This game got boring in 2-3 weeks and if countless number of people are complaining, surely they need to do something.
-
I enjoy pvp it says it in topic body. Additionally I have a life outside of destiny. I have a family and a full time job working in NYC as a mechanical engineer. Finally, asking someone to compare D2 launch to D1 launch is like asking someone to compare lauch The Burning Crusade to launch Vanilla World of Warcraft... just makes absolutely no sense. They are called sequels and expansions for a reason.
-
EXACTLY!
-
as i said to acid below, you two are better people than i. i childishly resorted to finger pointing and name-calling (essentially) and the both of you were mature/adult enough to not only ignore it but come back with legitimate arguments. i'm just going to stay off the message boards since i -apparently- can't disconnect my personal identity from my love of destiny.
-
You know they use psychological strategies to turn you into a Destiny zombie sheep. Deej is pretty good at NLP.
-
Can’t tell if you are trolling or not lol.
-
see my reply to OP above. i am not trolling. i just have an actual life outside of videogames. i truly am saddened that you and the other millenial whiners do not.

Why do you automatically assume everyone is a Millennial ? I am an adult in my 30’s female at that and have met plenty adults on destiny that have played from first launch and what Bungie has done is utter bullshit. I have no desire to play this game. Cause they ruined it.. flat out I do not want to play the freaking ymca of games where everyone gets a trophy for participation. Ideally not directed at you personally but just in general when I am playing // My usual day in d1 went// I want to have my titan so decked out and over powered I slap a character across the map in crucible then I want to hit you with my sniper right between the nose and make your teammates explode.. I want to have a higher level then other players because I fraking worked for it.. I want that random ghorn drop at the end of a iron banner match and everyone can see it so next round I can wait at heavy with my clan so we ALL get heavy then I go to where your crew is and blast my tracking rockets taking out your entire team... I want to hit a level cap and still want to collect guns... that was at least incentive not this baby bs you tried here everyone gets the same bland thing.. after I level twice in a week I hit my cap I log off. No reason to play anymore. This game is no longer fun to play. thanks Bungie for giving me my life back👌👏👐😒 oh yeah not Millennial- I still believe in you Bungie make this right🦄
-
Do you understand, you are on a games forum? The people here play this game, and they want more out of it. Life aside, this forum is about the game.
-
Not at all. I just know when I've been shafted and don't appreciate it. I enjoyed D2 for what it is, but I can see it has tons of missed opportunities. Beyond that it has things that shouldn't have been changed or removed. There just wasn't a need for it. Many of this changes that were made have made the game and gameplay boring imo. Vanilla D1 I at least felt powerful. PvE was fun. Even if it was a slogfest I enjoyed just playing the game. It's not the case for D2. For me it's a slogfest that really isn't fun. If you are enjoying it and still playing by all means continue. It's your right to do so, but just because some people have problems with the game and want it to be the best it could be doesn't automatically mean their points are invalid. Good luck on whatever you are grinding towards. Cheers man.
-
both of you guys are far better than i am... i made intentional jabs and neither of you rose to the bait. i'm thinking that regardless of hours spent, i have my personal identity a little too tied up in D2. staying away from the message boards starting now.

Hahaha don’t worry about it Brother. Internet forums get the best of all of us. We all get triggered sometimes. All good man
