You mean like Game stop with Pro rewards? To where you literally have to spend hundreds of $$$$$$ which isn't even a joke just to get a couple items that aren't even worth $10.
Yeah, such a great incentive.

I saved up a bunch of points on their free card and turned them in for a pretty sweet Doom t-shirt.
-
Yeah, about time you have saved up enough point to get something decent, you will have had to spend $500 to $1,000
-
I honestly don't know how much I spent, but the shirt is nice lol.

Bearbeitet von TheShadow-cali: 8/1/2017 4:35:58 AMKnowing they give you 1 to 2 points a dollar. That might give you an idea especially when small items even a poster is like 2,000 or more points. That's just a poster. I can only imagine how much you would have to spend of your money to get a controller.
-
That's just false dude, it's a minimum of 10 points per $1

Bearbeitet von TheShadow-cali: 8/1/2017 5:35:28 AM10 points to a dollar. My bad, but still, you would have to spend hundreds to get anywhere.
-
And that's exactly what I said? You told me to prove you wrong on your statement of 1-2 points per $1, I did just that.

Bearbeitet von TheShadow-cali: 8/1/2017 5:40:37 AMSo I stand corrected, but it still don't change anything. Microsoft points GameStop points blah blah blah. You end up spending more money then it's worth.

Bearbeitet von duzton: 8/1/2017 6:06:37 AMIt's meant to provide loyal customers with extra stuff. You showed the company loyalty, so you get points that you can accumulate and get free stuff from. I know Gamestop doesn't even charge for shipping when you order stuff with points. They pay for the everything. You don't have to spend $100's to get anywhere either. The points rack up rather quickly (at least at Gamestop in my experience). Not to mention bonus point days and different events like that. From a business standpoint if you made it point wise to the equivalent of purchasing it, the company would go bankrupt. Scenario: Oh I just spent $60 on a game, let me use the points I just got to go get another $60 game for free! A company would go bankrupt really quick if they did that. Edit: so making it cost more point wise than buying it, is the only way to make customers happy and to not go bankrupt. You got to remember with the points, you might not have paid for the item. But the company still has to purchase it, ship it to them, and turn around and ship it to you completely free.
