Anthem could swipe a lot of destiny players. Bloodborne 2. Dark Souls 4. Fallout 5. Another Battlefield comes out. COD isn't close. Warframe isn't close. The only destiny killer is Bungie. If Bungie blows this, and there's a major fallout. I don't see that happening anytime soon. Anthem is the only thing I see as a SERIOUS. threat to Bungie. So if they screw off a bunch of trashy reversed, recycled content over the next year, and Anthem releases. I think people will choose a different route.
So basically. If year one of D2 is like destiny year 1. They will never have me as a player again.
CE wasnt bad, but the only new content was a raid.
HOW was boring. I wouldn't call that an expansion. I'd rather buy another game for 20$ than play HOW.

Don't forget that everything being said about Anthem was the exact same stuff being said about the Division.
-
I never said anything about the division. Some people thought it would be great. I played it until about level 8. It's not that great. If there will be a destiny killer. It will have to be an extremely coop friendly social game. Anthem looks like this. I like the souls games., but they wouldn't have a chance. Destiny will be a thing for a long time. Something is going to kill players off eventually. Just like D1. Some of them don't come back. It helps to have competition. I hope Anthem gives destiny a major boost of content over the next year.

News Flash, Dark souls 4 isnt going to be a thing. They ended the Dark souls story with Ds3 The Ringed City DLC. Age of Fire ends at that time.
-
What they say, and do. Is two totally different things. Dark souls isnt going to be dead forever. When a corporation says they're killing their most popular franchise. I find it hard to believe. Wait a year, and it will be at the least another re skinned ip like bloodborne.
-
They are going full Bloodborne 2 before a dark souls 4 is spoken of.
-
I agree Anthem is the only real threat unless Bungie bungles D2. However like many I'll be playing Anthem AND D2
-
Anthem could swipe a lot provided it actually delivers. Here's hoping it does.
-
Exactly. It looks really incredible. If it arrives at the same time as another bungie expansion. There will be a competitive decision in the players interest. I won't be determining my purchase based on the next destiny expansion. I'll be judging it on the last years content.
-
Anthem looking as good as it does is honestly what makes me somewhat skeptical. With how many games we've had that look great a presentations but fall short on release I'm keeping my experience expectations in check. I really do hope it goes well. Been craving a new sci fi universe for some time.

Bioware can deliver. EA doesn't publish too much trash except for that one medal of honor.. So EA + Bioware, and Activision + Bungie will more than likely have a competitive face off this time next year. I also look forward to the last of us 2. but that's a story playing game.

This is providing EA doesn't screw development part way through ala Mass Effect: Andromeda. I'm real excited for TLoU 2 but dreading it at the same time. I just know it'll reduce me to an emotional mess somehow.
