I like the concept but it definitely has it's flaws.
Maybe it's just me, but I feel the samurai classes are a little OP, especially the one with the polearm. Last night I played about 6 1v1 matches back to back and a couple of 2v2 brawls. Not a single enemy player I was placed against was using a viking or a knight, just samurai. I can hold my own as a viking, but I get really salty when I'm constantly getting ganked by katanas and polearms.
To be fair, it's making me better at dealing with multiple enemies at once, but honestly ganking samurais are the reason I won't be buying this game. Wouldn't be as bothered if there was more variety on the enemy team, but there never is.
TL;DR: Samurai = Tone x10

The Knight with the mace (the name eludes me) is one of the best counters for the faster samurai. Gives me a hard time all the time.

Actually Nobushi are really good counters to everything but especially Conquers. It's very hard to combo her, the parry to guard break doesn't work on her because she uses a staff, so when you parry, it puts her just out of range. Parry to R2 or RT (console wars!!) also doesn't work as Conquerers. The best think to do it go for a deflect and then go from there.

Yeah, practicing against a Level 3 Nobushi bot right now actually. As an Orochi, not much dodging you can do really since her weapon is long. Her block break is super useful too since it puts you out of range.
-
Good luck to you dude
-
I actually just beat her now, haha. Seems like parrying is the way to go though. Looks like an Orochi can close the distance once parried while she's still a bit staggered.
-
Btw nice job! Lvl 3 bots are no joke
-
Pretty tough, haha. It's a great way to practice.

Oh that's right! You can go from a parry to a dash left or right then a RB and close the gape while doing damage. Still though not many characters have the speed to do that without getting blocked. Also she can hidden step right off the parry, so I'd watch for that in PvP if I were you

Good calls. The challenge is that all my gear is moved toward attack rather than defense since Orochi mostly relies on dodges, so it's a bit tough to parry.
-
Yeah same issue with my Peace Keeper. All well, it's more of a challenge that way I guess

Warlord and conqueror are really good counters to nobushi and peacekeeper, nobushi especially.

Nobushi is incredibly overpowered with the bleed
