The biggest issue I have with pvp is no matter changes occur, the same few weapons will always be used. For a great like destiny, all the awesome guns this game has, the work involved in getting those weapons and the achievement you felt when you shot that weapon for the first time, none of that matters in crucible. That's a big big downer, terrible execution for weapon balance..

I agree with that statement. I just sat last night, looking back at some old footage after getting wrecked by shotguns with insane range stats, special weapons are just used more often than normal primaries, and that's a problem. I don't know how Destiny 2 will solve future weapon balancing, but for now, some of these weapons need to be looked at again and tweaked in some way. Maybe reducing range a bit to Invective-type range, no matter class of shotgun, or increasing damage fall-off, since shotguns outgun fusions at medium ranges.
