This is a great response, but you always ignore my problem with the flat earth theory. Why is it sunny in the US while it's night time in Australia?

Sorry. I too often overlook certain questions, although I have answered this one elsewhere before. That being said, the reason is due to the fact that the sun is smaller and much closer to the surface of the earth, and acts like a spot light. It does not emit light equally in all directions. When the sun sets, it recedes from view like a car moving a way on a flat stretch of highway. Thats why it can be sunny in the US and night time in Australia. I am working on a comprehensive blog on Flat Earth Theory (its not finished yet) but I have written about this and seasonal patterns here: http://flatearthandthought.blogspot.com/2016/12/question-how-do-daynight-cycles-and.html
