I spoke with the Sandbox team that balances the weapons in the game. This is part of a running dialogue between us where I make sure they receive your feedback. They wanted to give you some information about their process.

The right time and place for a deployment of Sandbox changes is something we’ll investigate further in the new year. In the meantime, our playtest labs are home to a process we’re using to explore the current state of combat in Destiny.

How about you make it so that any time someone makes a "nerf herder" thread they lose 10 light levels off of their main character permanently?

Can we get a slight buff to snipers? Make it worth it to not use a shotgun the entire game. Or at the least make special spawn once in a game, like heavy? Honestly right now kids in crucible dont even know what a primary is. Me and the community is sick of shotgun warriors dominating crucible.

Whatever is being done it needs to be done quicker. This game is actually dying and it's becoming more evident by the day. There needs to be a skill gap for this game to even be worth playing anymore.

My list or suggestion of changes to certain shotgun types: - High impacts are now less likely to have range modifier perks - High impacts now have a max of 20 shells, with a minimum of 12 - In PvP, high impacts now spawn with 3 shells, and you acquire only 3 from crates - High impact shotguns now do 50% more damage to all enemies in PvE activities - Low impact shotguns now have less pellet spread, but still do the same damage - Low impacts now have a max of 25 shells, with the minimum of 15 - In PvP, low impacts now spawn with 5 shells, and you acquire only 5 from crates - Low impacts now do 25% more damage to all enemies in PvE activities All shotguns now have minimum and maximum ranges, and high impacts being brought down to low impact ranges for their base range.

Before time is spent on balancing weapons, a much larger issue should be addressed. Countless people are continuing to have things removed from their inventories. Silver, SIVA Key Fragments/cache keys, and skeleton keys. Ask anyone who has had these items come up missing what they want fixed and I guarantee you that they will not say weapon balancing. I was one of those unfortunate enough to have my SIVA Key Fragments/cache keys taken from me. It is a ridiculous grind for SIVA Key Fragments and skeleton keys, but other than loss of much hard work and time that could be spent elsewhere, they are free in the game. Silver, on the other hand, is bought with money. I feel bad for those who payed actual money and are not receiving what they payed for. Not living up to your end for a cash transaction, for whatever reason, is completely unacceptable and should take top priority over weapon balancing or anything else. Instead of asking what weapons need to be fixed, please just tell us you are correcting any wrong doing on your part, accidental or not. Many people have had these items come up missing for months now and counting. The only response we see time after time is we are looking into it. Every day more people post about things disappearing from their inventory. It should not even be an issue, but since it is PLEASE fix it. It is the right thing to do. Thanks and happy holidays.

Exotics need to go back to their year 1 drop rates and they need to all receive a universal buff across the board. They should be the conversation starters and talking points they were in year 1. They should feel overpowered and be overpowered. Overall they should dominate the board and be leagues better then a legendary. They're called exotics for a reason.

Three weeks ago the top gun in trials was clever dragons with hcr with 140000 kills followed by palindrome with 57000. Then followed by two more pulses and then eyasluna, those statistics are always around the same each week. There's your answer on what guns really need to not be touched, instead buff auto rifles and for the love of God scouts. Scouts, am I the only one who feels like they really arent appreciated. The one standout ability they have is their gun game at a distance and how they out match every other gun at further range. The sad thing is there is one map on this game that allows that. The usual competitive map rotations are all too small to notice the difference in range the scout brings to the table. That's why people complain about hand cannons and pulses so much. My one complaint. Change your last sentence, "look at the sandbox further into the new year" that's stupid, do it now. This game has less than a year left in its cycle so let's get more than 4 months of clean crucible play.

Buff exotics. They need a base range and stability increase across the board. Example: bad juju. It has a great exotic perk but is not usable against legendaries because of its poor stability and range. So basically 90% of the time the gun is at a disadvantage.

These are the 11 reasons why but Bungie are dicks 1. Dlc's aren't new content, they are recycled content 2. They do not update frequently as promised, almost rarely 3.Seems as though the company is only in it for the money with their cash grabs and microtransactions 4. Limited content 5. Vanilla game was not as promised, cut content and no story 6. There was a story that was promised but there was none 7. Most of the game you open doors and clear out enemies 8. Remove high cal from faster rate of fire pulses they are good enough weapons already with out high cal. Give auto rifles a damage buff make them like them as good as the suros back in the day . Scouts are fine but give mida back it's original flinch. Hand cannons give them year one hit detection. Bring back original two tap last word but remove fan fire so it's not op (takes care if shotgun warriors) Every one is running around with shotguns we need strong primaries to combat. Adjust the flinch Unnerf snapshot and bring back original short gaze

For me the one thing I'd do is just make ability cool downs take longer. With exotics and the artifacts there are nades everywhere all the time now. It's like mayhem rather than regular crucible sometimes. High impact autos and pulses do need a buff though. With the pulses though it's hard, because it's more a map thing. On the bigger maps they are still actually pretty decent. Lyudmila on shores of time is OK.

Please consider changing the red death Ex. Give it the same archetype as the grasp of malouk and change unflinching to counter balance or hand laid stock

Why not try a minimum effective range on certain weapons, i.e. Pulses and scouts. So if a pulse does 25 to the head now, anything less than 25 metres away would do less damage, this would make auto rifles and hand cannons more viable, same with snipers instead of being body shot from 10 metres away for 160 damage it would do like 50 instead until it hits effective range. I feel like this is badly explained but I hope someone sees my point. And I feel like this is a least productive of the very common NERF THIS argument.

Thank for Ice Breaker dropping today, Bungie. Coupled with a Solar The Silvered Dread machine gun with the added bonus of a Scout with Firefly and Explosive I'm having a lot of fun with the solar burn strikes.

also we had 2 loses on our cards after losing the mercy thanks to the hunter who was 368 , we kept getting matched with 2.3k/d people why and how??? get your stupid game fixed i been playing since year 1 and this thing has been going down hill. like you would care because you all sit around and just wait for the streamers to throw money at the game

Other than that low rate of fire auto rifles and pulse rifles need to be buffed in order to make them competitive with their high rate of fire peers. Also the strike mechanic where you trap us in a small room with little to no cover with a boss and adds sucks and you need to get fresh ideas on how to design enjoyable strikes. Otherwise love the game you guys created and thanks for your hard work.
