Why is it you guys only give cookie cutter responses? The forum's would be a much better place if you guys were just a little more personable. Like how about actually answering his question before you give him a link.
-
Because that's all they have to give them. They're not Bungie employees, that's all the info they have.
-
Right but they can be more personable. I did customer service for many years and most of your moderators have no clue how to treat people. But from some of the posts I've been reading today they seem to be getting better
-
All of the moderators are volunteers, not customer service reps.
-
Did the intelligence level suddenly drop on this post? It matters not whether they are being paid. They took a job on this forum and should do it to the best of their ability. If they no longer wish to do the job they can resign
-
Sorry let me rephrase. Sorry you feel you feel let down, bro. The mentors and ninjas have a lot of ground to cover. In order to help as many people as possible, they have some standard answers they use for common questions. Is that better? Was this answer personable enough for you?
-
Yes but I believe you still fail to understand. Good manners don't cost nothing
-
Neither does gratitude to a volunteer that provided you with information you could have researched on your own.
-
You're absolutely right about that. There is far too little of that on the forums as well
-
If you have been in customer service then you know the same questions turn up again and again. In one shape or form you question has been asked over and over again and players want to give you the info you want and then move on to another player. Remember these players help as much as they can but are not payed a penny for all the good they do. Even Mentors get nothing more than a emblem and a tag under their name. Also a lot of players want a Bungie answer and the links are to those official answers and guides.

Bearbeitet von EarthlyVoyager: 11/20/2016 3:36:50 PMRight the same questions did come up over and over and over again. But that does not mean that you treat everybody the same. That does not mean that you don't throw a little personality into your answer. Most of the moderators and ninjas have absolutely no clue how to treat a fellow human being. Now that I own my own business my customers seem to appreciate that touch of personality and I am the king at what I do because of it

If you have a problem with how others help there is a simple solution. Join the community of players willing to spend their time helping others on this forum and show us through actions not just words. We come from different professions and there is no training for us but we help and follow each others example.
-
The intelligence level did drop on this post. I'm on here every spare minute I get trying to help people. But I also run my own business hence the reason I'm not a moderator
-
Thanks for responding; much appreciated. However I believe the policy is ambiguous and the fact that can play judge, jury and executioner with no recourse I find very concerning!
-
Their game, their rules.
-
Whist I agree with what you are saying "their game their rules" is not agreeable. If they gave it away for free then yes but to my knowledge including the game, dlc, accessories and micro transactions I have probably spent $300 with Bungie. Is it not fair to ask for some clarification and customer service???

Bearbeitet von Blump: 11/20/2016 6:34:32 PMI get what your saying, but ultimately it comes down to the EULA that all of us have to agree to in order to participate. For what it's worth, I have seen mentors and ninjas alike state that neither of these devices is considered cheating. Netduma routers are nothing more than a more advanced version of a standard router and scuff controllers are basically the PS version of an Xbox elite controller. Even devices such as the CronusMax are not considered cheating, although many in the community feel they should be. The rule applies more for console modifications such as Jtagging.
-
Thanks Blump, much appreciated. I have never heard of Jtagging, everyday's a school day!
-
No problem. I'll also mention that I use a Netduma router and have never had an issue. All it's doing is preventing a connection to consoles outside of your configured radius before they are actually made. The only downside is that matchmaking can take a little longer if you set the radius to small.

Cool - sounds like a good investment then mate!
