Pokémon is too much work for me to learn now. All this new crap at once seems overwhelming.

It's a lot easier now. The new generation is adding stuff to streamline and customize the perfect 'mon. They're taking the grind away, unlike a certain game.
Jk, destiny has done a decent job with decreasing the grind lately. I'm talking y1 vs. Y3 by the way, I'm not trying to make a huge fuss about it.
As a super casual Pokémon player, I just pick my favs, level them and catch Legendaries. Basically, just mash buttons and knock out stuff. Have fun 🤓 I don't really care too much about perfect IV/EV breeds and all the other pro stat math junk. lol

My friends wanted me to grab Pokemon, and they are hardcore IVs/EVs Trainers, so I got onto it. After only getting like seven "god roll" Pokemon, I just quit the game.

Seems simple enough to me.

Bearbeitet von Kirby235711: 10/29/2016 2:56:56 AMI've played a lot, and each turn is just a speed calculation (with priority taken into account), two accuracy calculations from accuracy and evasion modifiers and the moves' accuracies, two damage calculations from type match-ups that can potentially reach a dual type move against a pokemon with four types, a chance to crit for 1.5x damage, the chance of which can be raised, a random damage roll, additional effects like status and stat changes, speaking of which you have to tell if sleep, paralysis, infatuation, or confusion fail first, then DoTs and HoTs go into effect, and maybe even an ability item or two for things like halving damage of a certain type with a berry or surviving a one-shot with a focus sash or sturdy, but mold breaker prevents the latter. That's not even getting into the pre-battle stuff like deciding what held items you should have, EV training, breeding for IVs, nature, abilities, and egg moves, finding a ton of TMs and crap in the game, and making team synergies that will just end up being stomped by a mega Kangaskhan. Like I said: simple.
