If you play with people with the same skill you won't improve. It'll just be a straight line. If you play with people of higher skill you'll learn. A jagged line with ups and downs. And if you want to just win plain and simple easy that's not fun. It's boring. A smart man once said," If someone is never wrong. They haven't tried something new." Or something like that.
If you play with people with the same skill you won't improve.
This is not true. Different people improve in different ways and at different speeds. Sometimes people do improve by being given the chance to. Professional sports has proven this time and time again. Getting steamrolled does very little for the learning and/or improving process.

True true. But I mean a little bit of more skill. Like a 4 to 4 tie. You learn the strategies in the back of your mind.

Sure any tiered trials (which will certainly come in Destiny 2) would have to have fairly large tiers to give you a bit of skill ranges. There's just nothing competitive about professional players getting matches against casual teams which is currently possible.

(If you play "with" better, not "against"; that's why many ask for help to the "pros" around... well, I could ask for help to "pros", but I like to play with friends who encounter the same problem as me... because my point is having fun with them, not paying someone to go the lighthouse... It's a game. Not a competition. Just a game.)

I mean against people. My bad.
