So, i'll soon be going to my first concert since (I think) last year...
And i'll be seeing Melanie Martinez, since she'll be playing at a place about fifteen minutes from where I live. If you don't recognize the name, you might recognize this music video she made that blew up on the internet for a while, or [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zAB5AC9yhY0]another song[/url] she wrote and recorded that was used in a trailer for the forth season of American Horror Story.
So, for those who know of her, what's your opinion of her music and style? For those who don't, you can check out either of the videos I linked and give your opinion, if you wish. It might be your cup of tea, might not, but hopefully you'll find something here that's worth your time.

1 AntwortenNot my type of music the beat was so generic and her voice sounded so edited to me. And I don't like when people dress up like they are about to go to some carnival. but if you like it go ahead no judging you know.

3 AntwortenShe's one of the few American pop singers I enjoy. I like that her songs have some substance to them instead of going on about vapid bs for 3 ~ 5 mins. It's funny though, I had an acquaintance who happened to be overhearing my music and when she was playing he said something along the lines of "Ugh, I must say, the quality of your music has gone down tremendously. You were playing all sorts of good stuff I never heard and now you're listening to some generic radio pop." that "wat?" meme pretty much sums up my response. I tried to argue that her music isn't even played on the radio (afaIk) and that there's more to her than the typical pop artist, to which he said "it doesn't matter whether her music gets played on the radio, it's still generic bullshit." but I just said whatever and continued to listen to the song. [spoiler]Not really sure why I included that anecdote, but yeah...[/spoiler]
