This can simply be done by removing the elemental burns from the year 1 primaries and canceling reforge options. Implementing this would bring back year 1 players without breaking the game for anyone new to Destiny. On a side note, infusion for year 1 weapons and armor should only be possible once you have fully leveled up the weapon of armor to 170 light. Once you have fully leveled up the weapon or armor and used the etheric light, the option of using etheric light should change to infusion.
Please comment if you have anything to add or change about my suggestion.

If they updated VoG and Crota's End it would be easy. It would be sweet to bring the VoG and Crota raid gear back.

3 AntwortenI would be happy... So happy.. If the earlier raids were made new again. I hate grinding. And re-doing the same thing over and over is the best way to make the game boring. If old school raids/strikes/stories could be made year 3 I guarantee 100% of this community will be grateful. It would broaden the ways for us to get new gear and reach higher light levels.

We have palace for old shit though.
It's called Legacy Consoles :^)
Sorry, but that still wouldn't balance the weapons due to the rolls that are already on them, especially ones with now unobtainable perks, such as my lord highfixer with send it and rangefinder, or my plug 1.one with hip fire and send it

Bearbeitet von Urks: 8/28/2016 4:00:12 AMSo pretty much everyone that grinded 50+ hours for god roll Imagos and Grasps and Vision of Confluences gets 100% screwed over? Yeah no. Edit: Meant Treads upon Stars not Vision lol

1 AntwortenYes Bungie, please do this. You made prison of elders relevant again so please do the same with vog and crotas end. Heck just make the gear and weapons infusable and take the burns off the weapons. Problem solved. I was so excited when house of wolves came out and I could put the etheric light into my vog gear and then when taken king came out I was sad to find out that my vog gear which was my favorite armor set was getting left behind.

They could add Infusion to the Y1 Legendary weapons (including Raid weapons) while leaving the Elemental Damage intact, and those weapons still would not "break the game". All the Elemental damage modifiers did was allow a player to drop an enemy's shields a bit faster. They didn't add any additional damage to the weapon itself. the damage was simply attuned to a certain element. The whole argument from the Devs (Wiesnewski's dumb-ass in particular...) that removing elemental damage from Primary weapons would "increase weapon diversity" has been defeated soundly a countless number of times. Adding elemental damage back into the Primary rotation, and bringing Y1 legendary weapons and Raid weapons up to TTK/RoI standards through Infusion, would only increase the diversity of weapons used. But I agree with you that Y1 Raid and Legendary weapons need to be allowed to be Infused to current standards. But leaving the elemental damage will break nothing in this game, except maybe the Devs vanity. Because that's the only thing preventing the Y1 weapons from being allowed to be relevant in the game again, the Developers vanity and having to admit that they were/are wrong about the removal of elemental damage and that leaving Y1 weapons behind would be a good thing. But I also do not believe that you should have to use Etheric Light before Infusing Y1 weapons. If they allow Infusion for Y1 Legendary/Raid weapons, it should be just the same as Infusing Y2 and Y3 weapons. Nothing about the Y1 weapons being Infused like every other Y2/Y3 Legendary will break the game. Forcing people to use Etheric Light before Infusing would only add an absurd level of micro-managing to this game, and this game doesn't need any more micro-managing. Just let us Infuse our Y1 weapons (Raid weapons included) to TTK/RoI standards, and call it a day. Everything to allow it is already in the game. The Devs just need to swallow their vastly inflated vanity, admit they were wrong, and ditch the Etheric Light Bubble and replace it with an Infusion Bubble. Do the five-minute value change in the coding and numerical values to account for Infusion, and "boom" this game gets close to 75% of it's content relevant again.

No, old gear stays in the past.

7 AntwortenIts too late to bring back year one legendaries. Most have already gotten rid of them.
-
1 AntwortenProbably won't happen since some year 1 perks can be broken as heck. They'd have to rework the entire perk system for every infusable weapon/gear again.

Remove elementals? Are u fūcking mad

Bearbeitet von DSharp018: 8/27/2016 2:34:26 PMThe problem I've seen over the course of this game is that as our levels go higher our weapons and armor become weaker. Did you know? Most year one chest pieces let you increase the ammo capacity of a special and a primary weapon. Raid boots used to give a boost to any kind of heavy weapon ammo capacity. With reforging, you could bring out the best roll on a gun(in your opinion) without having to get the gun to drop for you 100 times. In vanilla destiny, the thorn and TLW were actually stronger than they are now, but they don't see as much use because guns like the Suros, red death, and vex were outperforming them.

1 AntwortenI don't think they could do it any more simple than that. BUMP!
-
Agree but not about damage modifiers
-
It would have to reroll the weapon upon infusion, unfortunately.
-
Absolutely not. The old raid weapons were amazing because of the damage types. The last 2 expansions havent given players non-exotic primaries with ele dmg. Scale the raids. Simple as that

Bearbeitet von Dark Raven 2501: 8/27/2016 2:26:20 AMno leave elements burn. but leave out the etheric light only need is one upgrade nod for 25 glimmer & one infusion nod and that it to covers all weapons & and armor. problem solved 😎
-
Leave the elements. What is wrong with you!!
-
They still won't come back

6 AntwortenThe perks on year one armor don't fall in line properly. So ammo & reload perks would have to be retooled to y2 standards. Removing reforge is pointless, as you simply get your God roll (which if you've kept that weapon, you likely already have) before you infuse. Boom. Welcome back felwinter & benevolence.

Yes, I've thought of this myself before and I think it could would. However, if they do decide to do this, then there's one little thing I'd like them to do: Let the primary raid weapons (primary elementals) still have colored tracers. Because watching a trail of purple erupt from Atheon's Epilogue is just so awesome.

1 AntwortenThank you! I would not mind seeing all the gear (except Ice Breaker) come back as long as they remove the burns on the endgame Primaries.

2 AntwortenTheres also the black hammer. If that were brought back, the spindle would be made obsolete

1 AntwortenI almost don't care how they do it...just do it, dammit!!! I want to rep fwc with my fulcrum again!!!
