Somehow we have to get their attention as I haven't managed to get a reply from them. Just a word of warning. I will send this message every day until I get a response. Thank you. This is a message to confirm that you have seen my post. The reasoning for this is for the desperation of the situation. This message is in regards to not being able to connect to another person on the same network. How hard can it be to use a GIT repository in order to rollback your networking code? "This is a repost since there has been no communication to the community regarding this issue in over 2 and a half months. It looks increasingly likely that we won't get any action for a quarter of a year, and potentially ever. This issue has made myself and my partner stop playing the game. If Bungie wants to keep customers like ourselves happy then either communicate about the issues or rollback to a previous version of the network engine. I would dearly love to continue to dump my money into this game if it worked. Other titles such as Titanfall don't have these issues, so why should I play Destiny when there are other games that work as designed? My faith is waning, I am becoming jaded with Destiny, please prove me wrong. Git repositories exist for a reason. Code should be separated into their functions, i.e. Network, character, weapons, armour etc. Just rollback the network component when you know there is an issue affecting playability for people. All you need to do is check your data to see who is no longer playing. So my Fianceé and myself have loved Destiny and have become addicted to it, however since the announcement of RISE OF IRON we are unable to join each others fireteam, we have resorted to usual power cycling, troubleshooting and heck even reinstalling the games on both consoles. Now I am a mathematician not a network engineer but having two xBox Ones next to each other located on the same network and unable to join each other in an activity for several weeks in a row doesn't seem right. I understand the way you guys have set up the way we communicate within the world of destiny to be something unique but instances like this should've been accounted for, especially for PvP (don't get me started about the lag in the crucible which allows so many people to have an instant edge against others... not BIASED at all! -sarcasm if you couldn't tell-). Now to have this seemingly trivial issue of two Xbox Ones on the same network playing a game we paid double for in order to play together, not come to fruition has turned us away from the game. Suggestion to Bungie would be to fix this issue, inform the community of expected time frame or at least give transparency to what is occurring, no matter how embarrassing the cause is, and to give myself and my partner a free pre ordered copy of RISE OF IRON for our troubles, and heck everyone that is having this issue as it seems ridiculous that the only way people can play the game is through others, and not all of us can interact with certain people, alas making your coding/infrastructure/game incomplete and unreliable as a product. A big thank you to whoever actually reads this post, but a bigger thank you to whomever it is that acts upon this post. The way this post is handled will ultimately determine if my partner and myself will play and spend money on not only destiny but anything that is produced by Bungie in the future, so Bungie your name as a developer is on the line here. Just as a side note, I do believe that my writing within this post fulfils the code of conduct and so shouldn't be censored.   • Orbe and Elqenna still having problems and still being COMPLETELY ignored by Bungie. Paying customers treated like garbage by Bungie. I think we should start a petition and complain to Microsoft, what do you guys think?

    First reported an issue on 26th July after patch but it was intermittent until after the patch then it was constant. Two PS4s, same network, one wired, one WiFi and never had issues before with connection. We've reinstalled, changed both NAT to Type 1, restored licenses, cleared caches and nothing works. We get nothing, no error codes, just "unable to join target player at this time" message when attempting to join each other. It also happens with other characters on the PS4s (our daughters characters). Edit: can't link due to using a tablet but gts are Fusilier669, johnlockiscanon and warspite1944. Hopefully this gets fixed soon.

        • I've been trying to get in a fireteam with a friend since rise of iron dropped and I keep getting this "unable to join target player" error. We have both our consoles on the same network, I know this is a known issue. This is really starting to frustrate us because not only do we want to play together, but we both have bounties and quests that require you to be on a fireteam too. I have one wired and one wireless. I've tried everything for a work around and every combination such as: resetting router, resetting Xbox, deactivating my already port forwarded Xbox ports and letting upnp work, changing wired/wireless combo, renaming xbox pretty much everything you can search (that I could understand), joining via Xbox interface instead of destiny's, the press x at the same time thing, and grouping in a different game then switching (which actually worked 3 times, but never again). I also tried setting my xbox to the dmz and the other as a separate reserved ip, which worked for a day but not again. ALSO this does not happen with ANY other game and NEVER has until this. This is like the 100th time I've posted and EVERY time someone ends up being rude bc it's a problem they specifically don't have. I'm pretty sure it has something to do bungie AND the gateway Comcast gives you, but I don't understand because EVERY other game works when I LAN. To add to that, i have also thoroughly went over bungie's own directions for troubleshooting network issues, including disabling nat accel (which i don't even have).

Since I need - because of your work - a new router, I assume that it is allowed to sell IronBanner-/Raid-sherpa-service to finance a suitable router plus 10€ compensation per day since you caused the problem. I'll give you ten days to contradict. (today is 2016/10/12). If you contradict, I'll give you another 30 days to fix the problem. If you do not solve the problem, your appeal will be invalid.           • Another LAN player (2 XBONE) here, since day one. Just writing so that Bungie knows how many we are, since their network engineers doesn't seem to be able to read their data and prevent such kind of bad experiences.

          • when there are 47 pages of people reporting the same problem it means its time for you to pull your heads out of you arses and fix your shit bungo especially when the problem has been happening since July never have i come across a game dev with this level of ignorance or lack of communication from support so if you want players to buy your next game start communicating with your playerbase in this game and have an actual support hotline and support email address every other game dev has support hotline number and support email address

                • So, on an Xfinity router, what would this mean? I logged into the router and I see settings for IPv6, IPv4, wi-fi, MoCa... port forwarding and triggering which are both disabled. I don't see anything about NAT Acceleration.

                  • alright, I give! Local Fireteam problem is on the players end. My wife and I have done everything suggested and still no luck. We used to be able to hook up once in a while and boy we binged played on those days! Now not even ever. So now 1 QUESTION. WHY COULD MY WIFE AND I PLAY TOGETHER FOR 2 YEARS AND NOW WE CAN'T? WHAT SPECIFICALLY HAS CHANGED? Give me a satisfactory answer that makes sense and we will be able to quietly walk away from Destiny with our heads down and start a different game.

                      My Kid and I have playing destiny on the same network since September 2014. But as soon as ROI came out it wont allow us to join a fireteam together. If i try to join him from the destiny roster tab, it will sometimes say that his fireteam is set to friends only and sometimes it tries to join and states "ATTENTION! Unable to join the target player. Please try again" We have tried various combinations of having other friends be the fireteam leader and both of us trying to join that fireteam, us trying to join each other's fireteam, Setting his wireless console on the DMZ and having my console wired with port forwarding the ports, trying to reboot both at the same time, Nothing works. I'm a 3rd level network infrastructure tech at a Large Canadian Bank, and I have tried everything to make this work. My work around as been using my Cellphone internet for my xbox one so we are on different networks.

                    • my wife and I got the same problem, we can't join each other, and if it works we can't play longer than a hour. sometimes one of us can't connect to destiny server, or has to download all dlc again to get into the game again. it's really frustrating. Xbox One my gamertag (I've got all licenses) Doctor Freak I my wife's gamertag OnePieceFreak15

                      Well, I created another post about this issue and the lack of an update. It was moved to feedback, where it will get buried. Lovely. I'll paste it in here. All the patting on the back. World first. Check. Bugs they claim to have fixed. Check. Video floof. Check. New ornaments for people to spend money on. Check. Timeline for the resolution of this issue? Nonexistent. You're not listening. Destiny player support. Hah. You're not actively trying to resolve this problem. My opinion on your Customer service continues to plummet. A very disgruntled player

                      Once again, stop blaming our hardware. It's the same hardware we use for every other game we play. Don't have the issues there. Fix your network.
