EDIT: two good points I've seen is to increase recoil from shots by 30% and also to leave the flinching the way it is when shields are present but once they're gone if you get hit it will de-scope you.
Coming from someone who likes sniping, and every other aspect of this game. Tell me something, fellow members.
Should snipers be de-scoped when shot with high impact primaries?
Should they be de-scoped when head shot with any primary?
Should they be de-scoped at all?
Please be educated with your counterargument.
I believe if you're using a high impact HC or Scout or even Pulse you should be able to de-scope them with head shots.
Don't be biased, let's see some educated answers.

Bearbeitet von Synge_X: 7/14/2016 10:14:02 PMHigh impact scouts and pulses are weapons that are built to control the mid/long range game, as far as primary weapons are concerned. Only those weapons should cause a descope. But honestly, if the flinch pattern wasn't completely predictable, meaning even when flinched, the reticle will return to the exact position, and the hit boxes for head shots weren't so large, then none of this would be a problem. However, I'm open to ANY solution that changes the current Sniper meta.

Their not op it's just a meme to hate them

1 AntwortenHow about add a separate damage counter to the head that once it reaches a certain threshold snipers are descoped? Rescoping resets the damage needed to descope again

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von SolarCerberuS: 6/28/2016 2:45:10 AMDescope only on headshots from high cal rounds, grenades, melee or super Ads over 10 seconds causes sway/shake increasing over time in severity to 20 seconds where it auto descopes Randomise refocus points from flinch These changes would ensure sniping required the skill it should, but also restore the previously nerfed ammo capacity back. Competitive Crucible matches (Iron Banner, trials, inferno and rumble) should start with full primary and one full clip/mag of special and no additional drops except for one heavy drop. But also expand playlists to include matchtypes that enable drops as a choice.

I think most arguments in here are from 2 very different angle's of this discussion and point of view. There are those that like sniping, and are good with them. They will say this is stupid to begin with. (Also kinda my opinion but not afraid for a change) And there are those that hate snipers with a passion. They will call it a crutch or call all snipers campers (even tho you know where they will be because of sniper alleys or how ever people call them these days). So lets look from a different point of view. If you add de-scope when hit on snipers, you kinda also need to add that on different weapons. Some will say shotguns for example need to sway off target when getting shot. Not my opinion, but have seen alot of people use this as a counter argument for this discussion. What may be a solution for all of this without breaking the game or the community is something like this. And this comes from a sniper user. Why not a descope after you fire? Most people want a de-scope after being hit so snipers wont be able to fire 2 rounds fast in a row incase the first shot doesnt kill. Feel free to discuss this, but lets keep it clean people. With the amount of discussion going on, we might have to find a solution together and calling each other names wont solve anything or help with this.

Snipers are the favorite meal of my Colovance's Duty - Usually shakes them up a bit. First thing I do in every zone is look to add to my collection.
-
So I love snipers and I don't want them to change but 2 things one is the sniper and having the option to stay aim down for so long without consequences ie. Look at cod where if you are ads long enough you get sway so why not implement that and the other is maps that have glitch spots ie. Headglicthing spots should be looked at. Imo. But what do I know. Lol

Bearbeitet von Jvp WReNCh: 6/28/2016 2:10:40 AMThe thing about descoping is that games that use this mechanic also give a reticle to sniper rifles when they're not ADS. I'd much rather take my chances with destiny how it is now than constantly getting no scoped.

2 AntwortenIf you want to go this route.... Every shot you take from an opposing player should stagger your player realistically... Regardless of the gun they're holding. This would ruin what most players think is fun.... Games are meant to be fun, NOT realistic. For example: Games let you 360 no scope a guy a hundred yards away. In a real life situation you would friendly fire a commanding officer... You get the point... This games not real, no game you ever played ever was. Get wit tha program breh.

I would go for the de scope if shotgun runners stopped in their track when shot instead of sponging bullets.
-
If they do that then they should remove the red glare. Snipers would be virtually useless if all you had to do shoot them a few times and they can't fully scope in.
-
1 AntwortenMake it Like Halo was..always get de scoped when you get shot but no red glare or whatever when you aim in. No reason for a sniper to have a great spot but everyone see him. But if you did this bungie would have to find something to do with the unflinching perk
-
No De-Scope, but instead make their screen shake when they get hit multiplied by A LOT. The higher the zoom, the more the screen shake
-
And I've been sniping for a while and most of the time I land a headshot while I'm being flinched is either between shots or because I got lucky
-
If they descoped then they would need to have perfect hip fire accuracy as in halo. Snipers would be less annoying if primaries were buffed again. When did you ever hear people complain about snipers in year one? They actually got nerfed coming in to TTK primaries are just in a weak spot right now so snipers are having a much easier time
-
Whatever they do I just really hope it only affects pvp
-
1 AntwortenIt would make sense to buff NLB in that manner then. Perhaps the only sniper that doesn't descope?
-
They shouldn't de scope but they need more flinch
-
They need to add scope sway
-
Don't descope, just heavy flinch or stagger. There's far too many weapons that unload wave upon wave of low damage rounds for descope to be added without really screwing with snipers. Rather a better solution would be for greater flinch or if they're moving a sort of stagger to throw off the aim. Ideally, you should only be using a sniper when the enemy doesn't see you. If they see you, you should be punished but not by making the weapon worthless.
-
I really don't care what Bungie does to Sniper Rifles at this point..Just stop them from being able to consistently hit players from close range and while being flinched. They're holding back PvP at this point
-
With de-scoping of a sniper, that will lead to more people trying to quick scope which also means so people will stop using sniper and change to shotguns. We don't need de-scopement, we need increased accuracy a shot is fired and a very slight increase to recoil of snipers. Now I'm not talking about the recent balance kind of increase of recoil. Barely that, maybe .04% increase of recoil. But snipers need more stability for follow up shots I believe. Sometimes you don't have the right situation or view of your targets head so you have to double body. I try not to double body, but sometimes it has to be done. Just think about what I suggest.
-
If they do implement descope on headshots then remove the glare from the scopes or make them barely noticeable. Fair trade......
-
Headshots should cause more flinch than what it is rn.
-
they need to be seriously staggered when shot while zoomed in. snipers are supposed to be a sneaky way to kill from afar anyway..
-
Leave it be. Snipers are not as much as problem as before. I think the extra zoom on scopes was enough tbf. I run shotgun mostly btw.
