They didn't drop the old systems because of hardware. They did it to increase the player pool. I guarantee the game would have ran fine on PS3 and 360 but because of the declining player pool they decided to do what they did.

What about guys and gals who have left Destiny on ps4 etc,i am the only day 1 player out of a large group who still play,will bungie scrap/disown us ?

Do you ever wonder why the wait times for crucible matches takes longer and longer any more? Do ever notice that you constantly see a lot of the same people on Destiny when you play Crucible etc?

Nope, you don't. The more likely reason is because of memory constraints for dlc and updates. Bf4 had something similar happen with their last map. Difference is dice actually cares about the players. If they released the dlc for all four there would be more players than just current gen...cause not all players are willing to upgrade.

But it wouldn't increase the player pool...it would decrease. Memory is more that likely the reason (but at least dice cared enough to explain). There is absolutely no reason they would do that to try and increase the player pool.
