I'm sorry to say, but there's nothing that can be done in this case.

A: If you are a Referee, you may only accept a new referral from your original Veteran. You may not accept new referrals from other Veterans.
Thanks. So there is no way someone on the inside can reset a Referee's accepted quest? Who ever did this to the guy I found was just being plain mean. I feel like there should be some way for bungie to help new users in these cases...

There is no way to reset this or appeal it. It sucks that people would abuse the system, but that's also why measures like this are in place. Good for you for looking out for your fellow Guardian.

Yeah, I feel bad for him. And honestly, myself as well. Been searching for someone for awhile. Still going to help him, but it seems like bungie should be able to reset something that was a malicious act by another veteran... Anyways, thanks for your help.

Bearbeitet von Charlemagne: 6/11/2016 6:28:03 AMThis is merely my speculation, but when it comes to malicious acts like this, they're often hard to prove. If you allow one person to reset their RaF, you have to allow everyone to or else it's not fair. Doing so would allow people who prey on others, much like the person this Guardian encountered, to do so again as well as for people to abuse the system by making chains of Refer-a-Friends and such. Know what I mean? It's a door that's better left closed in cases like this. Still, good on you. Make sure he reports you for being Helpful and Friendly. You seem like a great Guardian to have someone's back like that.

Bearbeitet von Peaches Pan Tao: 6/11/2016 6:35:37 AMThats true, I understand how having that as an open option could be problematic. Do you know if there was as way to prove it, like an original message, could bungie manually do anything?

Bearbeitet von Charlemagne: 6/11/2016 6:37:47 AMUnfortunately, even with proof they can't. Their policy/system states so . Sadly, this just isn't something that can be resolved in such a way. Your friend will have to be a Veteran and find a Referee of their own.

Bearbeitet von Peaches Pan Tao: 6/11/2016 6:50:36 AMWell, dang. Wish there was some appeals process or something, but I see how that could get messy. Again, thanks for your help.
