I agree with all your points - I am also an above average player, have over 40,000 kills and held a 2.0+ kd before playing in organized sweats. However, the point of yours I want to emphasize is that it's an awful reality when you can't play crucible with your friends because they simply can't keep up with the skill of a lobby. I have a friend who just got destiny and we've been playing a lot together, however, he expresses his frustration with crucible when we're together. Yet when he's by himself he says he's having as much fun as he's had in any other game.
I just want to play with my friends and not have the sweat lords ruin their experience. I truly don't care if I get matched up against streamers/youtubers/sweaties constantly, just don't continue matching me with those people when my .6kd friends wanna play too.

But that's not entirely true. If there was no sbmm, an average or even bad player may never even see/compete against a 1 percenter, and if they did, than yes they would probably have a relatively lame experience. However, that would only last 1 game, new players would be matchmade, and that average player wouldn't have to deal with a player like me. This would all be irrelevant if we simply had ranked play lists - the top players would battle over ranks and the casuals would be left to practice in the unranked play lists, this is a simple, effective, and realistic solution to everybody's problems... I think I can speak for a good portion of top 1 percenters when I say, "we don't want to pubstomp all day, we just simply don't want to have to sweat every single game"

For me it's only about the group I play with. As a streamer in particular, I valued bringing in anybody in my stream to laugh the night off. I can't now. I literally get told that they just don't want to ave to put up with the players I play. How is that in any way, shape or form, fair?
