Battleborn. Funny and awesome character interaction and dialogue, and each character can be played and leveled up differently each time you play it, and those choices affect that character play style significantly. There's also nice progression, loot that doesn't overshadow good player skill, and unlockable perks on each character that you earn by playing them a bunch to be added to the choices you can make each match.
Battleborn just has way more depth, and more game modes. Not to mention they are already starting to add new characters (free), pvp maps (free), and pvp game modes (free)

All of overwatchs dlc is free too. They already are confirmed to add new characters, maps, modes, skins, etc.

I feel it's another case of quality over quantity. Yes, Battleborn may have more depth and/or game modes, etc, but Overwatch I feel is just more fun and the characters are better in overwatch

Fun and better isn't indicative of quality. I've played both, and battleborn is way more fun and the characters are far better for me. Overwatch is repetitive after 30 minutes to an hour.

Well, what we're debating is very subjective, however it seems like you are on the losing side, seeing as it's a 78-22 lead overwatch has in the poll and overwatch had a review of 9.4 and Battleborn a 7.1 from IGN

It seems overwatch is winning the marketing race, yes.
