The Canary error is a connection error between your xbox and your router or home network. Sometimes it's actually a bad NIC card in the console, sometimes it's a bad port on the router (assuming you are wired and not wireless...which you should be). If rebooting your system and router don't fix the problem, try changing the cable and possibly replacing the router itself if changing ports doesn't fix it. If it's a problem with the NIC card and/or port on the console itself, you may need to contact Microsoft about any warranty. If you are getting disconnected from Xbox Live as you said then it's definitely a problem there somewhere and nothing Bungie can fix.

I disagree, this problem only arose after the latest update. Happening with Xbox one also. Getting a solid connection with Xbox live, but Destiny servers are not making connection.

No problem. I had the same issue when I switched to google fiber. They swapped out the router and all was good.
