Aside from the fact that a sci-fi shooter is not original in any way, there are some real convincing reasons why you should not buy this game. Chief among them would be the disgusting business practices that Activision is trying with this game.
If you were hoping that the Modern Warfare remaster was sold separately, you're outta luck. It is only available with a pre-order of Infinite Warfare. Not just any pre-order, but some sort of special edition (more expensive) copy pre-order.
We have to stick it to the man! If we really want Activision to correct its ways we need to boycott this game. Won't be too hard, seeing as there infinitely (no pun intended) better alternatives for your sci-fi shooter needs.
EDIT 1: Oh look! More scummy business practices! To make matters worse, one of the editions of the game that come with the Modern Warfare remaster are Gamestop and GAME UK exclusive. If you want a digital copy or simply don't enjoy these retailers, too bad!

It's a fucking game publisher, who's only goal in life is to make as much money as possible. They are pulling a genius Marketing strategy. Add a fan-favorite remastered game to the new one, exclusively for a $80-$100 bundle? They will Increase units sold (people just buying for MW, that has IW with it) and they will boast about revenue income. I can see the headlines, "CoD IW breaks records, most sold in --------- history." 6 months or so from now, MW remaster standalone. Even more money gained. Sheep who hate Activision will still buy IW just because of MW. And lastly, just because they say "Oh yeah, MW won't be standalone." That is very non-specific. They can easily claim they meant at that point in time as of the release of IW. They can say whatever they want and change their minds later. How many times have you heard, "This is the last ------- in the series." Then a new one comes out a year or two later. Business, Marketing, and no repercussions that's why.
