Aside from the fact that a sci-fi shooter is not original in any way, there are some real convincing reasons why you should not buy this game. Chief among them would be the disgusting business practices that Activision is trying with this game.
If you were hoping that the Modern Warfare remaster was sold separately, you're outta luck. It is only available with a pre-order of Infinite Warfare. Not just any pre-order, but some sort of special edition (more expensive) copy pre-order.
We have to stick it to the man! If we really want Activision to correct its ways we need to boycott this game. Won't be too hard, seeing as there infinitely (no pun intended) better alternatives for your sci-fi shooter needs.
EDIT 1: Oh look! More scummy business practices! To make matters worse, one of the editions of the game that come with the Modern Warfare remaster are Gamestop and GAME UK exclusive. If you want a digital copy or simply don't enjoy these retailers, too bad!
IDGAF as long as i can play MW without the disc, i'd just sell off IW in LNIB condition and get half my money back. i'm one of the few thousand legit people to have every achievement in the original MW game including the boat maze timer(specific tactics and accuracy are required to win that) and the MHC(same+ running forward afap). besides the franchise' critical flaw that enabled camping, the game is pretty good. the POV/player camera is actually mounted a bout a foot on top of the player model's helmet, instead of at face level. which is why M16A4/RDS campers dominated that game, they camped from behind a bullet-proof couch and ADS'd everyone who didn't successfully nadespam.
