Fallout 4 does not have PvP and is open world. You can't compare the two, really. Destiny has insanely small maps and demands a faster pace.

Sniper elite as PvP and it sways

Yeah, and I am sure you're shooting at distances greater than 20 yards, too.
-
Then if it's only 20 yards on Destiny then people shouldn't need snipers at all. Should be more skilled with other weapons.
-
That's like saying shotguns are good at 10' and most encounters start 20' so no one should use shotguns...

Destiny is maps. Shotguns are right for it. If you need use a sniper on close combat maps to kills there's something wrong with people fast reflexes

Thanks for not just being a jerk! I totally understand your point, but the tweaks I'm suggesting are specifically to put snipers back where they belong, at a distance. Hard scope all day. The most accomplished snipers would still undoubtably be able wreak havoc at any range, but the delay in aiming would surely help weed out at least some of the people using the weapon as a close quarters one hit kill.

I think the net result would be too negative. Crucible maps don't have the range that people want sniper rifles to be effective at. They would virtually disappear in 6v6 and drop significantly from 3v3 if they did that. You would see Scout Rifle / Shotgun take over. Special ammo is the issue, not special weapons. Lots of useful info there, thanks. Maybe the fallout 4 reference was a little too much. I definitely don't think the delay or sway should be as extreme as that, but at least some. I do agree map design is major part of any and all weapon balance issues. As for special ammo, I've heard people throwing around ideas about limiting how often it shows up, but I feel that would only end up making matches far more lopsided. And when that happens people just start leaving the match altogether. It already happens if one team always gets the heavy and one doesn't, imagine if it was heavy and special. I guess maybe they could limit how much it gives, but isn't it only like 5 as it is now? I would never be able to use my sidearm, it blows through ammo like crazy haha.
