Sunsinger Radiance Changed Modifiers Song of Flame - (as it before, plus) boosts recovery (+2) for all allies. Buff improved (+3) with proximity. Radiant Skin* - Activating Radiance blinds enemies in your proximity. Reasoning
SoF - The recovery buff is important in that it shares what is supposed to be the Warlocks best stat with everyone, and makes surviving a deadly attack much more possible – clutch if at low health and trying to reposition. It also adds more utility to SoF, and plays to the support role much better. RS - Defense is not the game to play here - many apologies Ram users. If not support, suppression/control. Blinding enemies fits the theme, the skill, and the class, and will act as a much better guarantee that you can activate Radiance without a head full of pellets. That, or you can dive into a field of mobs with a shotgun, detonate your flashbang self, and clear house. FB - No change, it's perfect. Now it's not necessarily the go to option.
Scorch Changed Modifiers Solar Wind - Increases melee range and knocks enemies back, briefly stunning them Brimstone - Scorch's damage is increased. Killing enemies with Scorch causes them to explode. Explosions ignite nearby enemies Reasoning
FS - We good. SW - Literally a waste of a modifier, but with added range, increased knockback, and a stun, it could prove to be quite the unique tool for personal defense, and some trolling on the field, in PvE and PvP alike. BS - Also kind of useless prior, given the great utility of Flame Shield. Now there's the option of even more damage done, making Scorch have more viability in groups of enemies.
Changed Ability Modifiers Sunburst - Killing an enemy with an ability can generate orbs of light. (Normal = 1, Majors/Ultras = 2 or 3, ~60% chance Reasoning
SB - Just makes it a better support skill and a viable choice for teamplay, especially in that it boosts Radiance's Orb potential
Changed Ability Modifiers Angel of Light - (as before, but plus this:) Glide has increased height Reasoning
AL - It's a utility move, so giving players the option of crazier vantage points is great. Even if they don't like the hover, the longer Glide will be great for traversal. It could go without and be fine, however.
Changed Exotics Sunbreakers - (as before, plus) Now stacks with Gift of the Sun (Max 3 grenades if selected grenade is Solar) Starfire Protocol - (as before, plus) Stacks with Gift of the Sun (Max 3 grenades if selected grenade is Fusion) Purifier Robes - Provides Radiant Skin*. Activating Radiance from death ignites nearby enemies. Reasoning
SB/SP - Simply adding a possibility for a third grenade elevates the value of these Exotics. Going for a Discipline build might mean never not having a grenade, especially under SoF Radiance. PR - The flash is important to the Sunsinger, I think, for survival, which is why I made it a modifier rather than a perk bound to Fireborn. RS itself cannot justify an Exotic slot, which is why the Purifier Robes, great as they look, are not used. Adding ignition on resurrection might seem reminiscent of Landfall, but it simply adds the DoT, and won't be activated nearly as much, as binding this to Fireborn means that the player will sit on it for a while. Combined with Radiant Skin, it makes for a greater survival guarantee upon activating Radiance, and can also be good for getting the jump on an enemy that just killed you or walked by your corpse. Now it's a real choice between this and Praxic, which is best if you want to use SoF, while Purifier is now better for (clutch) Fireborn users.
• Almost all of these are great changes! I only have a few problems though: 1: I don't think radiant skin should be changed to a completely different perk. Each class has 3 main "paths" designed for it. For sunsingers, they are support (SoF and Sunburst), crowd control (VF and ToF), and tank (Radiant Skin and Flame Shield). I don't think its a good idea to mess with that too much. 2: Flame shield should probably have its armor bonus moved to radiant skin, but radiant skin would have to have a further decreased effect to compensate. 3. I think that Radiance should also cut the time required to revive an ally in half, without needing any perks. This would give them more a medic role. Other than that, your ideas were brilliant.

  • No they get over shield on hit. That should be a titan perk. If you want a face lift, give them amazing recovery perks but leave the armour to titans

    • So you think they are too weak? I think it is a complicated class due to its versitility. You can literally make a few adjustments and go from a grenade spamming warmachine to an ally perk and afterlife team support build. But I think that warlocks suffer from the gear options. It just seems very plain and similar to eachother. I think they made the warlocks able to change in many ways and then the gear kinda lumps everyone into very similar strategies. Waste of opportunity to really showcase the unique perks they made.

      • This is all fine and well but all 3 characters would need something similar otherwise the salt would be so overwhelming the sunbreaker nerf cry wouldn't even compare.

        • Bump. Sunsinger needs some slight buffs to some of its perks simply to make them viable options.

        • I wish lists like this got more attention from the community. It seems like all anyone ever wants is to nerf things. As in all aspects of life, destruction is easier than creation it seems.
Radiance Changed Modifiers Song of Flame - (as it before, plus) Adds a small amount of bonus solar damage to nearby ally (not user) Primary weapons Radiant Skin* - Activating Radiance blinds enemies in your proximity
In a game where the raid leader can just say, "Hey, go switch to your Titan," your SoF buff doesn't go far enough. I'm tempted to say the bonus damage needs to be on par with Weapons of Light and should apply across all weapons, but that's really just copying the other talent. I'm starting to think the way to go is to make SoF apply to all allies regardless of position. Adding a bit of bonus recovery for the whole team wouldn't be bad either. Radiant Skin is included in the subclass because the dev team felt it synergized with other elements of the class in specific ways, and I don't think they are likely to change it entirely. I wouldn't mind giving up a bit of its effect in order to get that blinding ability as a supplement, though, which would probably be agreeable to those players who already think Sunsingers are too "tanky."
Scorch Changed Modifiers Solar Wind - Significantly reduces Scorch’s damage, but dramatically increases melee range and knocks enemies back (bigger knockback too) Brimstone - Killing enemies with Scorch causes them to explode. Explosions ignite nearby enemies
I agree that these two perks are pretty useless. Extending the range on Solar Wind is an idea I've not see floated before, and it works quite well with the intended use of the perk. Reduced damage is a nonstarter though. According to the Destiny wiki, the Scorch melee ability does not increase the base melee damage apart from the burn effect, so a Solar Wind strike would be doing "significantly" less damage than a normal melee. The problem with Brimstone is that getting in close proximity to a crowd of enemies is, in contrast to certain Bostonian beverages, always a bad decision. Allowing the Brimstone explosion to ignite surrounding enemies is a good start, but I'd say that an increase to the base damage of the Scorch melee (which as previously stated does no more than the normal palm strike) would also be necessary in order to make it more likely that the targeted enemy is killed. This is roughly on par with, but still somewhat unique from, what the Sunbreaker melee is capable of, and more appropriately rewards the risk inherent in this style of play.
Changed Ability Modifiers Sunburst - Killing an enemy with Scorch generates orbs of light. (Normal = 1, Majors/Ultras = 2 or 3, 100% Guaranteed or money back) Changed Ability Modifiers Angel of Light - (as before, but plus this:) Glide has increased height
Sunburst in its current incarnation is simply too close to the effect on certain artifacts. If anything, I'd like to see it's effect apply to all ability kills. I have seen some people accomplish some crazy maneuvers using Angel of Light and the similar Titan exotic Empyrean Bellicose. I consider Lift to be a superior jump to Glide so your suggestion is not unreasonable, but I think you have to be very careful here.
I don't think the mechanism exists in the game right now to have three grenades, so what you are asking on the first two for is likely a more complex change than is worth pursuing. Some bonus to grenade cooldown might more easily serve the same effect, but I'm honestly not sure it's needed, particularly since Sunbreakers already increase the grenade's duration. As previously stated, I doubt very much they would completely rework the perk the way you suggest. Given that, having Radiant Skin for free is probably more than sufficient to make the exotic worth while.
