Destiny Please look into this issue. We had the ogres teleport to the middle of the map at least 6-7 times last night causing us to wipe and start over. Like many of the people I play with we have families and other things going on in our lives that doesn't allow us to run a glitched game over and over and over and over and over again. I'm so mad,stressed and just disappointed I can't do it, we were doing it for 3 or 4 hours straight and the only thing that messed us up was the ogres teleporting, that's it. All green bars, we did every thing, snipers, keep them from touching the Wall etc.. Sigh :(

Here begins the trend of broken mechanics. Once the glitch is looked into and fixed, the next broken part of the raid will happen.

It is lag. But since that last patch, the raid and Destiny in general has been a lot buggier and laggier.

When you run two titans in the center have one snipe with a high impact sniper. To stun them 1000 yard stare worked for me. The other Titan uses touch of malice to melt the ogre. If there is a warlock that jump on the plate have him throw the first grenade the fire ball will keep the ogre in place.

Like all I stress this is speculation but I heard the reason for this is due to the fact if an ogar "staggers" or is pushed back into one of the bombs already in the pool the game mechanic kicks in satin your not supposed to be there and simply moves the ogar, a freind of mind supposedly found a solution to this something about Titans and sister platforms stops the teleporting I will ask him and get back to you for this just reply so I get a notification on this post so I can easily get back to it.

I think they're expecting (near) 100% stun lockage out of most teams by now for Challenge Mode, to 'guarantee' Blights are close enough for detonating all at once. Since Ogres are simply mutated, larger Thrall, and Taken Thrall can teleport, it makes sense that they would make their older cousins as well. Especially in the manner they have been, suddenly popping up middle along the pathway and being all annoying and shid. [b]However I agree that it's more than likely a bug/glitch or outright lag and that Bungie should fix it even if it was intentional. There's a window of opportunity for the Ogres to simply ignore the stunlock if lag is even slightly present. Source: I had a lone guy with a variable network that ranged from yellow-green and [i]that[/i] was enough to ruin most of our runs.[/b]

If they stagger and get pushed back way to much they will teleport. This is because bungie doesn't want them to fall off the map.

Bump, happened all day with 3 different groups. Don't even try and tell me we all had bad connection. This is definitely on bungie

It's caused by connection problems.

Some advice for dealing with this. If it happens, go to orbit. Teleporting ogres is often caused by too much shit on the ground (engrams etc)...

We found if you are doing enough damage (two touch of malice) they stay in place if you don't hit them as soon as they spawn they will port

Yeah Same here man, we always have trouble on the 3rd and 4th ogre run. They sometimes touched the wall and didn't get teleported and the flinch thing is bogus, I saw one teleport right when he spawned

The counter to this glitch so far is to kill the ogres faster Once they are standing, you only get 2 flinches, on the 3rd flinch the ogre usually teleports

Something my raid team noticed awhile back When the Ogres touch the wall behind where they spawn they will instantly teleport. This is typically caused by grenades that don't attach which trigger the retreat mechanic of the Ogre in an attempt to recede from the oncoming avoidable damage (ex. Solar grenade). Seriously, try it. Once they touch that wall, it's all over As to why touching a wall triggers a teleport? Clueless. Maybe Bungie was too afraid of a reoccurring Atheon situation.

Yeah had this problem soooo many times. I would land the last head shot on the ogres and they would disappear to center of map. I have beaten it on two characters and badly need to get motivated to do the third.
