I personally don't feel like it is, no objectives may promote camping. I won't be surprised to see people camping their own spawn with snipers and only occasionally venturing forward for special ammo.
What are your opinions? Would it have been better off still being control? Or another game mode?
EDIT Some very good points being made in favour of clash, obviously the blueberries having no clue of holding objectives in control was a major drag for everyone who knew to hold flags. Kills only should (you'd expect) be easy enough for those random teammates.
EDIT 2 A lot of guardians happy for the change, which I totally agree on, many happy that they won't have to rely on blueberries to play objectives too, again I agree.
As we all know, the standard of players in the banner compared to regular crucible (barring daily modes) drops slightly, do you feel it is easier to carry a team to victory despite only a few going positive K/DRs?
EDIT 3 Nice to see so many of you with constructive comments and reasoning to your choices, only a few toxic comments, who, with their stats, will not be enjoying the banner regardless of game type.
I'm definitely looking forward to challenging some of you guardians during the event and maybe even seeing you owning as the blueberries on my team too.
Most of all, I hope the banner blesses you all with good RNG (yes even the toxic commenters), we all know how bad it can be.
EDIT IN PLAY
Well as we all know banner has arrived. And whilst I'm enjoying the change. Playing alone provides new challenges other than the mode itself. I've had to almost literally carry teams to a win on a few occasions and it's definitely not as fun (for me) as it used to be. If any of you are finding difficulty getting a group together for PS4 send me a pm and we could run together. My stats are available (PS not much history as was a new account)

Yes because all of iron banner was is people just going for kills and not playing objectively. At least they can actually contribute to the team more with their only killing-no capping mentality
-
2 AntwortenI had decided to play this IB due to the supposed new rewards. I'll check to see what's being sold and go from there. I could give a crap about the game type, but I guess I'll have to play a few games of clash now to get used to it.
-
2 AntwortenI'm looking forward to it. Clash games end quicker, so less people should quit. Less emphasis on getting a team into the game to win. Faster iron banner rank up. Hopefully won't be as laggy as well.
-
Im always carrying teams in clash, im glad they switched it up for once. Op acts like camping doesnt happen in control. At least enemy teams wont have a point of reference to hard scope a flag the entire game.
-
3 AntwortenA lot harder for teams of 6 to dominate so yes, very good move
-
It's a very good idea. I've seen and played with very good crucible players who, for whatever reason, are bad at control. They always end up with the most kills, but because they don't capture zones they loose (which is obviously the reason why they loose). This will let more people who don't like control enjoy iron banner.
-
yes easy mercy fast matches for my team :)
-
In iron banner, if your team sucks u van atleast hold down B to make up for it, in clash, eh
-
Where is the "yes and no time to explain" option?
-
1 AntwortenWhere is the "Yes and I won't explain why."?
-
Nope. Clash is one of the most sucky forms of crucible it doesn't have any thrill to it.
-
9 AntwortenTerrible idea... coming from someone who has done multiple tournaments for TDM game modes across multiple games... How games will go... 1. team gets first kill. 2. team then camps because other team now has to come to them if they want to win. 3. this will proceed until supers and heavy/repeat.
-
4 AntwortenIt's going to be a move that may kill IB for a lot of people. 6 people sniper camping because the only requirement is that you get more kills than the other team is going to be a nightmare. Trials is already crap because of this single tactic. I played recently and it was literally my team camping with snipers and their team camping the opposite end with snipers and waiting for someone to "cross". Most matches literally went for a few minutes with just camping then finally someone (usually me) would venture forth and force the other team off their camp to get the match going. I gave up after a while even though I had a 5 - 1 card on me.
-
Should be interesting... There will be the rushers and the snipers...and ill just be an ammo camper playing solo.... Hope to pop ya !
-
Now that it's not control I bet all the idiots that don't capture when it is control will be trying to capture the imaginary zones.
-
I would rather 6 person elimination, or zone control.
-
I Don't mind it. I remeber a loooong time ago they mentioned possibly adding salvage to iron banner. I wish they would run a 6v6 and a 3v3 mode. Not a hardcore pvp player but I enjoy 3v3 more.
-
Not playing so
-
I like it since there are always so many people who don't understand how zone control works.
-
where is the both are good
-
A main theme of IB was teamwork. Clash requires no teamwork at all.
-
Marches are typically shorter so in that aspect its better.
-
No more degenerates who don't know how to capture objectives.
-
Yes, Control has gotten extremely boring after a year.
-
It was already clash. If you joined a game of randoms they would play like its clash. So I guess this benefits them
-
Most people played clash during IB anyhow. People capping was a joke
