I personally don't feel like it is, no objectives may promote camping. I won't be surprised to see people camping their own spawn with snipers and only occasionally venturing forward for special ammo.
What are your opinions? Would it have been better off still being control? Or another game mode?
EDIT Some very good points being made in favour of clash, obviously the blueberries having no clue of holding objectives in control was a major drag for everyone who knew to hold flags. Kills only should (you'd expect) be easy enough for those random teammates.
EDIT 2 A lot of guardians happy for the change, which I totally agree on, many happy that they won't have to rely on blueberries to play objectives too, again I agree.
As we all know, the standard of players in the banner compared to regular crucible (barring daily modes) drops slightly, do you feel it is easier to carry a team to victory despite only a few going positive K/DRs?
EDIT 3 Nice to see so many of you with constructive comments and reasoning to your choices, only a few toxic comments, who, with their stats, will not be enjoying the banner regardless of game type.
I'm definitely looking forward to challenging some of you guardians during the event and maybe even seeing you owning as the blueberries on my team too.
Most of all, I hope the banner blesses you all with good RNG (yes even the toxic commenters), we all know how bad it can be.
EDIT IN PLAY
Well as we all know banner has arrived. And whilst I'm enjoying the change. Playing alone provides new challenges other than the mode itself. I've had to almost literally carry teams to a win on a few occasions and it's definitely not as fun (for me) as it used to be. If any of you are finding difficulty getting a group together for PS4 send me a pm and we could run together. My stats are available (PS not much history as was a new account)

1 AntwortenYep....teammates have less ways to be retarded....
but somehow they still find a way
-
Yeah is good this time my teammates any make me lose by not playing the objective
-
1 AntwortenI mean, really any change is good at this point. Its like iron banner 31.0, its always the same. Lol
-
6 AntwortenNo objective for people to screw up....
-
I'll explain why! #MURDERBANNER
-
1 AntwortenAdd variety. I didnt like how every single iron banner is control. This will add some new bounties and such.
-
they should have done this a long time ago. 1- if you're playing with randoms, nobody caps zones anyways so you end up loosing more games because of that. 2- If the Score limit is 10,000 like regular clash, games will end faster allowing for people to rank up faster and not spend so much time doing iron banner.
-
2 AntwortenMost people in iron banner played as if it was clash anyway.
-
It'll be like clash now if your over 300 light just easier to kill some lower lv people More camping tho which I think will be bad Control works good because it forces teams to move around the map Yeah I know you don't NEED flags to win but most game people cap flags But it will be a welcome change if it's good let's hope they keep switching it up Like the ONE week of ToO that had the different maps I thought was great, I don't remember anyone saying it was bad but it never happened again

1 AntwortenIts either gonna be ok or a disaster. Issue is, 90% of players dont know how to play control. If youre on a team or randoms and are the only one capping nodes there is no way in hell you can win. With clash even the complete dumb fücks will help push you towards victory. you do bring up a good point with camping... Its harder to camp vs an entire team though, depending on how good they are they will rush and take out everyone in the chaos

Most definitely a good thing. most teammates are blind so they don't know what a flag is for that matter. I'd much rather play a game mode for iron banner that makes me less reliant on teammates who don't know how to capture 2 flags and hold them, and more reliant on myself.
-
One reason and one reason only. It's harder to carry when the enemy has two capture points
