I personally don't feel like it is, no objectives may promote camping. I won't be surprised to see people camping their own spawn with snipers and only occasionally venturing forward for special ammo.
What are your opinions? Would it have been better off still being control? Or another game mode?
EDIT Some very good points being made in favour of clash, obviously the blueberries having no clue of holding objectives in control was a major drag for everyone who knew to hold flags. Kills only should (you'd expect) be easy enough for those random teammates.
EDIT 2 A lot of guardians happy for the change, which I totally agree on, many happy that they won't have to rely on blueberries to play objectives too, again I agree.
As we all know, the standard of players in the banner compared to regular crucible (barring daily modes) drops slightly, do you feel it is easier to carry a team to victory despite only a few going positive K/DRs?
EDIT 3 Nice to see so many of you with constructive comments and reasoning to your choices, only a few toxic comments, who, with their stats, will not be enjoying the banner regardless of game type.
I'm definitely looking forward to challenging some of you guardians during the event and maybe even seeing you owning as the blueberries on my team too.
Most of all, I hope the banner blesses you all with good RNG (yes even the toxic commenters), we all know how bad it can be.
EDIT IN PLAY
Well as we all know banner has arrived. And whilst I'm enjoying the change. Playing alone provides new challenges other than the mode itself. I've had to almost literally carry teams to a win on a few occasions and it's definitely not as fun (for me) as it used to be. If any of you are finding difficulty getting a group together for PS4 send me a pm and we could run together. My stats are available (PS not much history as was a new account)

1 AntwortenMost definitely It offers a general change of environment for Iron Banner Let's face it, if you keep doing the same thing over and over, eventually you are going to get tired of it. I'm glad clash is in Iron Banner right now
-
It'll make facing 6 man fire teams less painful and lower the rage when it seems that you and one other teammate knows what has to happen to flip the game around.

Bearbeitet von Sølaris: 11/16/2015 1:40:40 AM>Another bad thing about Clash: When your team is terribly losing which is 90% of the time, the other team camps, take all the heavy ammo and racking up kills wining the game leaving you to either rage quit, give up, try & fail or wait for the embarrassing mercy rule because Clash is a simple kill to win match. Where as in Control: Control is also kill to win aswell as score to win, It's true that people don't play the object but if YOU just YOU are collect control points at least you lose having a pretty decent high score. Sure winning is the number one concern when playing Ironbanner, still proves you've got the skill and patience to rack up kills and get control points, obviously people care about winning so overall this statement is useless information... I'm retired from crucible just weekly strikes and forever Fallout 4. http://imgur.com/a/nEgRR Edited: Added my Credentials for those who accuse me of being a whiner... I hate competitive multiplayer btw

2 AntwortenAm I the only one that thinks of Mayhem Inferno Iron Banner? Or Inferno Iron Banner? Or Mayhem Iron Banner? Or Elimination Iron Banner? Or Elimination Inferno Mayhem Iron Banner? This would make Destiny a lot more fun
-
1 AntwortenWait... I thought I was already playing clash
-
Skirmish would be the best but clash has a little more gunplay
-
1 AntwortenWith no team objective there will be no team game.

Well FML I might just die a lot b/c when I'm in the mood for some gawl-danged Ern BUHnurhnurh... I'm ready to go and fight, which means I hunt for the fight because I'm a hot-blooded HUNTER! Definitely sounds like way more of engaging 1-2 or even 3 enemies and on the road to whipping said 3 asses be taken out by 1-3 turds you never see coming! At any rate, I'm anticipating IB so much I can hardly Control myself, tee-hee!
-
Yeah! But seriously, After this we should make Trials should Free for all. No fireteams allowed
-
It was getting stale, it needed a change. Would have liked to see salvage though. Hope they keep rotating.
-
The main reasons I'm for it are: 1. It's something different 2. Some maps are just completely unbalanced for control. Blind watch for example is the biggest sinner. Where you spawn at the beginning of a match shouldn't put you at a disadvantage from the start.
-
It's not a bad move. Good move? Only time will tell.
-
Where is the "Yes and I'm too lazy to explain why" option?
-
Control=Risk-acceptance Clash=Risk-aversion Having an objective provides the motivation to engage and push forward even when you don't want to or the odds may not be in your favor while the core component of Clash is self-preservation at all costs. As they say in boxing, styles make fights.
-
It's something new. I agree with the people who say mayhem is better. It's just more interesting imo
-
Clash or mayhem clash? Mayhem clash is way better
-
Here are my thoughts Considering that when I play control nowadays no one plays the objective and just runs around killing everyone...or dying a lot. Clash is a good mode because those people can do just that. That said, I think a full team is even more crucial with this mode because of you don't communicate, the battles will most times be 1 v 1, or 2+ v 1... We shall see.

-
2 AntwortenYup. No more retards trying to capture the third flag.
-
1 AntwortenI'm hoping this isn't their big thing to bring people back to the game
-
3 AntwortenI voted yes for this, since it's a fresh look for Iron Banana. Hopefully there will not be an abundance of quitters.
-
Yes, the change is good. Clash promotes less aggressive play, which tends to keep games tighter and more interesting. Personally, I would like to see some rotation in Iron Banner modes going forward. Maybe have it change on a daily basis during the event? Control, Clash, and Rift are all excellent game modes that could work well and keep things fresh.
-
I think it will be interesting to see. It's not like most people care about holding zones in Control anyway.
-
Good to mix it up every now and then
-
Most class matches play out the same. People always camp the same places. Also those that understand that certain places of the map hold an advantage will do better. The control spots are generally where people bunch up at times even if playing clash.
-
Too lazy to explain but a great change.
