This is one reason I say HoS isn't overpowered. Watch it all the way through please (if you're going to watch it at all).
Would appreciate feedback.

I watched the entire video. All I got from it was that the player recoding the footage was a terrible player. His/her lack of accuracy made it look as if the bad gameplay was almost intentional. I'm not a fantastic crucible player by any means, I think my average K/D ratio is something like 0.79 (not afraid to admit that). A friend of mine plays as a Titan religiously so I played on his console as his Titan, who uses the HoS. I found it very easy to get kills and sustain survivability on several occasions. In my honest opinion the video simply shows what appears to be a new player trying to work out how HoS works.

Video was made by Lost Sols, game was played by Lost Sols. And actually, that is indeed still the everyday PvP life of a titan. His accuracy was fine, people kept jumping around and moving. He was able to get OHK by a fusion rifle, and also able to be stopped by two people, and a third guy that stole the kill. Point is, as the video says, it's like a normal super. Good at times, bad at times, far from unstoppable.

The video seems very biased. You can tell that the gameplay has been cherry picked so to speak. This gameplay is short clips of unlucky situations that have been pushed together in a three minute video. As I mentioned I played as a HoS Titan on a friends console, I played PVP for around five and a half hours straight. I played nearly every match type and I have to say that it's a very powerful class.
-
It is no doubt powerful, but I'm 100% positive there were plenty of kills in that video, great uses of the super as well. (Not sure if you noticed the guy that didn't take any damage at all, but that happens from time to time). But, I main a titan. I play as a titan, it is certainly far from unstoppable and doesn't deserve a nerf. I've even been shit down by a bladedancer because the hammer takes 2 seconds to recharge and the bladedancer swings really fast and deals great damage. This video is also far from biased, considering it has a mix of both good and bad moments in it. Read the description, that would also help understand this whole thing.

Do you mean the guy who was jumping around near the vex portal? Yes I did see that, and I agree that was quite strange. I think the two second recharge rate is fine as it is, it almost seems a little too long seeing as you made the valid point about the blade dancers. As I strictly play as the Gunslinger I've never used the blade dancer in PVP, but I've seen the damage it can do. The potential to 'one-slash kill' another guarding seems wrong, considering the duration of the super itself. The kill potential combined with the agility and the time to kill makes it potentially the best PVP subclass to use. The ability to jump into a room occupied by six guardians on the opposing team and slash them to pieces is insane. As far as I'm aware though, Bungie haven't released any nerfs for this subclass, but I would agree that it needs one.

Never said I got one slash killed while in super, it actually took three. I missed the BD once but hit him when they were right in front of me after I had taken a single hit from the BD. Needless to say they survived my hammer and killed me. I don't think it needs a nerf, considering how easily it could be shutdown by a variety of abilities and weapons.
-
Very true, sorry I assumed you meant a situation where you weren't using your super and a blade dancer killed you. As I said I play mainly as a Hunter and even I think the blade dancer needs something doing to it. So if you could change something about The HoS and any of the hunter supers, what would you do?
-
Apology accepted, and I understand. I realize that I was unclear as to wether I was in my super or not. About the supers, I would remove damage drop off from GG and buff the overall damage so it is truly a OHK super, and I would give either a speed boost to the BD as well as a damage boost, or just a defense boost so it could guarantee survival from a single hammer if undamaged, and from FoH if undamaged, etc.. but still not enough so the GG can't OHK it. I find hammer of Sol fine in my opinion.

The problem with the Golden Gun one hit kill is that when a Warlock, Hunter or Titan are using their supers you can still one shot them with the GG. The only player that can survive a single shot from the GG are the HoS Titans. I'm not sure if it's meant to be that way or not, although I'd assume it is because Bungie have already nerfed the HoS. Maybe I'm going to have to get used to lining up another shot quickly. It's frustrating though, using a super that has the potential to one shot a guardian but when used against a HoS Titan they still have 10% of their health remaining.
-
I understand with you on that, but I can imagine the HoS is meant to have the armor it has, especially considering most of its abilities focus on the super itself, and not so much the melee and grenades.
-
I never looked into the melee and grenade aspect. If the HoS subclass is mainly based around its super then I can understand the increased armour. If there are no/not many perks relating to the melee and grenades then they would obviously need something to compensate for it. I doubt Bungie will be doing any more changes to the HoS Titans.
-
I doubt it as well, the class is focused mainly on super, but melee does have it's perk line, like the explosive hit or it charges faster, or it weakens enemies making every shot, no matter where it is, a critical hit.
-
Now that you've said that I can see why the HoS is as good as it is. If it's supposed to be focused on its super then then I'd say they've actually done a good job with it. I'll have to put some more time into playing as a Titan using the HoS and see what it plays like knowing that it's more to do with the super above its other abilities.
-
Thank you. And if they were to nerf the Sunbreaker just a 5% decrease in movement speed while in super would be ideas, seeing as Sunbreakers are tanks that deal and take massive damage. Not wanting a nerf, just saying that that's what would be good if they did nerf it
-
There's probably a few things that could be done across all characters to make them equally powerful. Maybe it's the remaining two classes that need a slight alteration to keep up with the effectiveness of the HoS.
-
That is entirely possible.
