I'm going to go ahead and say your full of shit ....you are trying to say someone hacked your psn account so they could use fraudulently obtained credit cards and buy stuff on your account. Makes perfect sense .... Glad your ass got caught.

Just so u know got my account back

First off that's a federal offense and I would be in jail right now if that was the case. 2nd how could I have had the money taken back if I was using other people's credit cards?

Bearbeitet von EnvyMeRT: 10/15/2015 12:42:26 PMI'm a actually a lawyer for the federal government .... See my posts from months ago if yo don't believe me. If what you say is true (which I don't think it is) Sony has no right legally to tell them you owe them money , since any money owed to them was taken or committed by fraud. Unless they know you used or had intent on using fraudulent cards. Furthermore that makes no sense someone would buy goods or services for you with fraudulent cards without knowing you ....... And you wouldn't be in jail right now . Instead of wasting time and money Sony said screw it it's X amount of money and X amount of money is cheaper then getting lawyers involved.
-
Then excellent your input is valuable. I owe Sony nothing, the account associated with the fraud does. I legally in my name owe Sony nothing. And there never was fraudulent cards. There was one card, my own credit card in my name. No good or services were purchased FOR me. They were bought with my card on my account without my permission, much like every other vase similar to this in the world.
-
Bought with your credit card on your account ..... Then my bad it isn't fraud but buyers remorse or a chargeback by you/your credit card is clearly against Sony ToS . You owe them the money plain and simple , and destiny accounts a linked/locked to your psn or live account therefore contacting Bungie will offer you no relief. Your issue is with Sony I suggest you take your argument there , ask to speak to a supervisor and come to terms with them. Ask for relief if it's a lot of money or you are out of luck my friend. Sonys PsN agreement is pretty iron clad.
-
So by getting my money back or a chargeback? As you called it, violated Sony's terms of service? I'm forced to pay regardless of me never wanting to buy/ pay for whatever was bought? Forgive me for asking I'm just trying to get a complete understanding before i call
-
Yeah once something is purchased on psn a chargeback WILL violate terms of service. So they can ban or freeze your account until money that is owed is retained. Since they have no way of verifying if it was you or a child etc. that purchased the said game / app they are going to assume it's you. A lot of people do this ... Cable companies do the same thing . My friends son upgraded his cable package via remote to watch a cartoon. Since they do offer PIN protection there is nothing he or I could do to get his money/ old cable package back . Without these terms of services in place a lot of companies would lose a lot of money due to fraud and buyer remorse.

For us to take legal action on a federal level it has to be a huge monetary amount ..... Or 25+ stolen or fraudulent cards on your person. Sony nor any federal , state or local government are wasting their time with $50 ripped off of PSN.
-
Alright cool. but none of that has to do with someone using my own card(1 credit card) to make purchases I never verified.
-
Yeah my recommendation would be to never link a card. Buy Sony points at major retailers to avoid issues like this. Especially after the PSN breach.
-
Yea I've since froze the card. That what they had told me over the first phone call to just buy points. I would've from the start had I anticipated this, sadly things like this are never really foreseen
-
Yeah I buy points now and don't trust a lot of online services. I had PayPal take $750 back from me 10 years ago after I sold an item on eBay . Buyer said someone hacked his eBay and PayPal account to buy my item , and since I didn't send it signature accepted he said the guy must have been waiting for the item at his apartment. This is actually what made me pursue my career in law. Sorry I assumed fraud earlier .... I see it a lot . People with stolen credit cards , credit card skimmers etc and it's always a misunderstanding . They were doing a friend a favor . Didn't know the cards were stolen etc.
-
Yikes. Well lesson well learned from online services that's for sure. It's alright, I don't take it personal I could see why you would assume that. It is 2015 after all and people making a living doing things like this taking hard earned money from people. But thank your for the help and information I know it's going to be relevant when I make the phone call in a bit. Not very often you get help from a lawyer for free.
-
Haha true .... I'd call Sony and speak to a supervisor . See if they can do anything due to a misunderstanding etc
