So I really like the idea of including secret missions into destiny in order to unlock cool gear however I'm not a fan of the special daily missions, mainly because I simply cannot play every day. My job requires me to go offshore onto oil rigs fairly frequently to perform inspections, this means I have periods where I have no access to my xbox. Previously, apart from the usual weekly loot, the only thing I missed out on whilst offshore was xur, I taught my girlfriend how to buy stuff from xur specifically to mitigate this problem in-case he sold something I needed.
However these secret daily missions are really frustrating for me as I am loosing out on cool content in the game with no real way of ever getting it again. You say in your weekly update that the first firewall mission will come back in time but exactly when?
Destiny is literally the only game I have played for the last year, I have invested so much time into this game (4000+ grimoire) and I hate feeling like having a job handicaps me in the game.
I'm sure I'm not the only one with this concern.
My suggestion would be to allow these secret daily missions to be repayable through the regular menu's. Limit the exclusive loot to once per character, this would mean only people playing catch up would benefit from this.
Anyone who agrees please bump so that bungie may see this.
Thank you.
[EDIT] A suggestion from one of the guys below was to introduce these special missions as quests - to me this seems like a very simple and effective solution. The quests can be timelocked by bungie as the missions currently are, however this would allow people to complete them in there own time.
[EDIT] Taking from others ideas I reckon introducing it as a quest line 1 week or so later would keep everyone happy. All the "if you can't make it onto destiny every day then you don't deserve it" people would have the prestige in owning it first and the "casuals" would know for certain they will be able to complete the missions to in the future.

Couldn't agree with you more mate, well said.

I travel for work and sometimes can't play for up to a month if I am away. I don't see the point in changing the game in order to fit my needs. I do what I can when I can. Even though I may miss it due to my real life obligations I still prefer to have the times I am able to be surprised on a random day.
-
Yes please, some days (usually the ones where the special missions were live) I have an unfortunate amount of homework, combined with other life activites that doesn't make playing said day possible.

Yeah BungieVision, so e of is have jobs that make money in order to pay for your greed

6 AntwortenDeal with it the way the rest of us do. We all have jobs and lives and can't be playing destiny all the time. If this is such a big hindrance to you then get a new job. It's not the games fault that you work.

Usually mmos have events that run for a week or 2 weeks long.. This gives players time to run the quest. . Right now- it's like you have to get lucky and play on the day that you know offers the event.. And for someone who doesn't subscribe to YouTube for walk through. .it's hard to know what's available. . Even though I follow the forums daily lol.. Safe to say that most older players have jobs - as it costs money to play this game lol

3 AntwortenCorrect me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure missions like black spindle can be still done right now, just needs find and select the mission on hardest difficulty and do the steps (sorry if I'm wrong)

If they moved it around to different days of the week/weekend.....always seems to fall on a Tuesday/Wednesday when I'm away on work as well.
-
It'll probably be the 7th that it comes round knowing Bungie
-
It'd make sense to at least have them different days of the week, wasn't the spindle one on Wednesdays two weeks running?

Ive just got too much on on real life to play on armsday every week they definitely need a catch up or even the next time you log on you have that day to do it kinda thing
-
I work 70 hours a week and can only game on the weekends, if I've not got anything on... So yeah kinda BS that they do it during the week
-
Ahhh.... A fellow pipe-line player. I feel ya bro. ....over in 'da BAKKEN... We pumpin haaawd.'

5 AntwortenTotally agree!!!! I've missed out on both the Black Spindle missions because of work. Kinda frustrating

6 AntwortenJobs aren't the same but I work about 12 hours a day 5:15 pm up until right around reset time. Wake up at 1:30-2 head to work at 4 and get home around 4 and ended up getting home tonight and finishing the warsats for Sleeper Simulant only to find out at 5 it reset my quest to the first mission. So if it doesn't ever come on weekend I won't be getting it. I'm not planning on waking up extra early to get a gun in a game that pertains nothing to my life, there's gotta be a better way to get the stuff we've earned. If I can't get this gun because of my job so be it and I'll be done with the game. The quest shouldn't have been so easy anyway.

Bump. Well said mate

Get over it. I worked when it was available and was too tired when getting home. You'll get it next time

5 AntwortenI think timed missions are stupid why not just have it as a quest so you can do it at your leisure
-
Keep it the way it is... You make it sound like the missions never come back, that you're forever doomed to miss out on them. That's simply just not the case. You'll do it, so what if your real life commitments preceded a video game? You're not exactly complaining that you can't do daily bounties everyday. You're just don't want to wait for the next opportunity to earn the items.
