Being an IT guy, do I think that this fix was accurate? [spoiler]Absolutely not[/spoiler] I think people got lucky with changing DNS settings and saw a change, probably because it disconnected your first download session and restarted it from where it left off. Frankly, it doesn't make much sense from a networking standpoint.
