Hello
So often when I'm browsing on Bungie.net (which is often as I pull a lot of help articles from there) I get a pop up / drop down add asking me to download the Destiny Companion App.
As I spend a lot of time flipping back and forth from the companion app to the site and vice versa for links it can be a bit annoying.
Normally this would be awesome.. As its a great app and very useful.. Except.. I already have the app downloaded and installed on the phone I'm using and it is currently open and running (often) while this is happening.
What ends up happening for example: I switch open applications quickly to safari, add pops up, I close add, type in search query into the bar at top of bnet help page, click on topic I want, add pops again, I close add again, copy link, and switch back to companion app which is still running mid post.
I am currently running on iOS 8.4.1 iPhone 6 using the default safari browser.
It just seems like it may not be recognizing that the app is there? Not sure. Thanks

This happens on android also it is annoying as hell but would you rather an app/website works properly or a game that works properly

1 AntwortenYeah, it's there, I've noticed this as well. I'll send this to the right folks to check on it, but no promises. Cheers!

Like "Hey I see you're browsing this cool site. Here's an app that will help you browse this cool site. I know you already have this app because you can just click open, but I'm reminding you in case you forgot you have an app to browse this cool site while browsing this cool site"

This is not only to promote the use of the Companion, but because many will find that it is more user-friendly than using a mobile browser. Not sure if there is any way to get rid of it permanently.

It looks like you're using b.net on your phones internet browser. From what i've experienced... everytime you visit a website that has its own app it'll usually pop up on the top of the screen because it wants to let you know that the website has an app dedicated for mobile devices.
