I respect your concern for players and the time they spend in Crucible. I just don't think Rumble is all that broken.
For your first issue: It's rare that two people have almost the same scores. Rumble is a 1 v everyone style of match. Therefore, it is only right that the top player is the winner, even if their score is higher by only 50 points. A possible fix to this (if it really needs one) is to give better random loot chances to the top two or three players. Honestly, people who play rumble usually understand what they are getting into and not everyone cares about the Grimoire score. At least until they make that score matter.
You also seem to misunderstand the Hunter supers. Sure they can activate it and take out several targets, but it takes skill and planning to do so. The super meter for the Hunters deplete quickly and running doesn't help it either. If the Hunter activates it too far away from the targets, then the super meter will run out before they kill a target or get one target instead. If the Hunter activates it too close to the targets, they will be gunned down and the super will be wasted. That is why you can't just go off half-cocked as a Hunter. There is planning involved. Warlocks are a bit overpowered (but not broken) in my opinion. They are the only class to have straight up all useful perks for their super perk tree. Not to mention that they can melee you around corners and have good reach (Gunslingers have a longer reach with the throwing knife, but can't get you around corners. Bladedancers Blinkstrike only activates when you are already close so it's just a speed strike essentially and can't get around corners). If anything, the Defender Titan is in need of a buff. I don't think it's right that only two Golden Gun shots or a Nova Bomb's residual vortex can take out the Ward of Dawn or drain the life away of the Defender Titan inside of the Ward of Dawn. There is almost no reason to use it in 1v 1 or 1 v everyone situations (you could use a full armor build with the first perk of the super perk tree to dramatically reduce damage from enemies while within your Ward of Dawn and extend the time that Ward of Dawn lasts, but they could just wait until your Ward of Dawn expires).
For your second issue: TrulyBobBarker already made the best argument for it. I think it is unfair that a new player can join and will be immediately at a disadvantage, but they could (and most do) just leave the match anyway. So that point is almost redundant. I personally stay in a match if I'm put in it because I really hate the people who just leave because the team or they are losing (you people know who you are) but that's an argument for another time. I could put out an argument against it, but I feel that TrulyBobBarker said it best already.

Bearbeitet von IWearClothes: 8/13/2015 4:38:17 AMI find a lot of issues with your arguments, beyond subjectivity. Firstly, it's not at all rare for 2 or even 3 people to be tripping over each other for first. It's just objectively not. It's ok to have the view that first is first, because that's a valid opinion, but acknowledge facts for what they are. Second, you're right. Any good Hunter needs to be safe and stuff to pull out their super. However, once that's done, that still leaves them with a higher potential for multi kills on average. I say this as someone who has won many Rumble matches with each class, but also as someone who mains the Hunter class. Third, that's also a valid opinion to have, but the reason I want that cut out is because it wastes the players' time. in any other mode, you can join a losing team by searching by yourself, but that's kind of just asking for it. Rumble is different. Anyway, thanks for your thoughts. Please understand that I don't try to counter argue as much as I did here. You can look through all the other comments. I just saw that some things in your post aren't subjective.

Bearbeitet von Myaku: 9/4/2015 11:54:01 PMMy arguments weren't subjective. For the first argument: If the statistics show that 2 or 3 people are constantly passing each other up with kills in rumble most of the time, then I must be lucky enough to never be in those matches. In all of the matches I've been in the person who's in first usually stays in first. If they mess up and get passed up, they have a hard time getting back to first. For the the second argument: I don't think Hunters have a higher potential for multi-kills, or they at most have a slight advantage over the other classes in multi-kill potential. Like I said before; as long as players can keep their distance or use cover, they can wait out or take out a Hunter. A Striker and a Voidwalker have potential as well to get multi-kills too and probably a better chance for it as well since they can soak an area, regardless of cover. If you main as a Hunter like me, then you would understand that you don't have an edge over the other classes for multi-kills. Hunters probably have the same chance for multi-kills as the other classes. With Golden Gun, you have 3 shots for 3 kills (or 4 if you have Achlyophage Symbiote) with the possibility of more kills if you chose the combustion perk and the enemies are bunched up in a group of 4, 5, or 6 (which rarely happens). If you happen to have the Bladedancer subclass you can get 5 or 6 kills, but the enemies have to all be in the same room with as little cover as possible. You could get the same amount if they were in different rooms, but you'd have to be really good as your super meter would probably deplete before you kill them all. You might be able to do it if you have Mask of the Third Man and chose the ability perk that extends your super for each kill you get with your Arc Blade but if they put too much damage into you, you would be forced to retreat and your super would run out anyway or they would already spawn again and take you out. You also have to consider lag. If you fire a Golden Gun shot or struck with an Arc Blade swing but it glitched, then you've wasted your multi-kill potential. For the third argument: it isn't that long to get into another match. For your proposed ideas, not allowing new players into the rumble match would create a problem with rewards distribution. If more than 1 person drops out, then only one person is left without a win. If 3 people drop out, then no one loses. See the problem? Granting a win to the top 50% of players in a rumble match makes it pointless. I'm sure Bungie wanted Guardians to play a long time to get those Grimoire scores because Grimoire scores are seen as prestige. If they made it easy to get that Grimoire score, it would cheapen its value. If Bungie really wanted to, they could change the way the Grimoire score is earned for just Rumble. They could just make it so that if you participate in a rumble match, it counts towards a point in your Grimoire card for Rumble. Wasting time is hardly an argument if you haven't quit Destiny yet. And thanks for your reply. It shows that you actually care what people have to say, even if they are opinions. I'm a bit confused by your last sentence since it seems to contradict your first sentence. Are you saying my arguments were objective or subjective? For my first argument, it could be argued that it was subjective. However, my other points seemed to be fairly objective.
