A vote to kick option would weed out most of them.

Yeah but then people could just kick people with only two votes,
-
Unless you are group with a 2 man premade fireteam who is looking just to troll people this works. If the fireteam is randomly matched and 2/3 of the team think you need to be kicked, you probably deserve to be kicked.
-
There's only 3 people in the fire team. Do you want to vote to be posted in the tower for people to vote on?
-
I don't comprehend...?
-
When you vote on something, the majority wins. A fireteam has 3 people. You are in that fire team. You are being an ass. 2 people in that fireteam vote to kick you. That is a majority vote 2 against 1. You get kicked for being an ass. If that doesn't make sense I can't help you.

Bearbeitet von Your TTV Is Trash BRO!!!: 8/12/2015 5:42:42 PMProblem is a 2 man team can go in do 99% with a person pulling his/her weight and kick right before the end. Just to be trolls
-
Like I said over and over. This will only happen if you join a premade 2 man fireteam that is purposely looking to troll people. Vote to kick is not perfect but it would wipe out almost all the issues of people going afk or being ass clowns. You could make it to where if you go in with a premade team it bypasses the match making and you just stick with 2 people. If the entire fireteam is randomly matchmade and you get kicked at the end, you probably deserved it.
-
Like I said people will start doing it. I can go in have 190 kills have the boss down to 10% of health and get kicked because you and a buddy thought it would be funny. That is why it will not happen. The issue of people being AFK is an annoying one, but the idea you came up with is far worse. Once the first YouTube video of this trolling went up it would make the strike playlist worthless to single players. Bungie already has a system in place for these people. Report them and move on. If you get enough reports they will look at the data of you never moving in the strikes and take care of it.

Bearbeitet von Weebland: 8/12/2015 5:29:54 PMThey are a problem, but i feel a simple in-game system that lets you and the other fireteam member vote to kick them would be sufficient enough to fix it. I didnt read all of his which is why i posted the sane thing. And i didnt read all of it because i didnt feel like reading all that text.

No, anyone who has played Left4Dead knows that's a bad idea.

Bearbeitet von Swift: 8/12/2015 5:28:02 PMVote to kick? No. That would make things worse.
-
But then you'd have doucheflaps just booting folks from strikes for sh1ts and giggles. It would cause more problems than the one it was intended to fix.
-
I know you would still have a holes which is why I didn't say it would solve everything. I said it would weed out most of them, which it would.
-
This would only happen if you joined on a pre made 2 man fire team. If all 3 players are randomly match made and you still get kicked with a vote of kick option then you were probably being a so called "douche flap."

A bunch of friends and I discussed this idea a long time ago. We deliberated over the technicalities for some time. We eventually concluded that maybe an auto Return to Orbit option would be best for those who AFK. We took into consideration those who were AFK for legitimate reasons too, but we all asked ourselves "would we be upset if we got returned to orbit for that reason?" which we all said "No, it wouldn't bother us." So, we then came to an agreement that the AFK RTO should kick in after the AFK player has been X distance out of proximity from the active Darkness Zone for 1 minute - this would give time to either catch up or get booted automatically. I think an automated system of some kind would eliminate deliberate manual manipulation of a vote to boot option where player discretion may not always be honourable. Albeit a rarer situation, there is still potential for two players (even if all randoms) to collude together and boot the third player for disingenuous reasons.
-
The thing is there are a ton of options that would probably be better than a vote to kick. The question is if it is even possible for them to code it. Its not magic, someone has to figure out how this gets put in game.
-
That is the catch.
-
Exactly. You see a lot of people with cool ideas, but that sheit is impossible to expect bungie to implement in game. Like I said before a vote to kick is not perfect, but it solve majority of the issues and is possible to implement.
