Basically it's the following:
1) You are an average PvP player based on your stats. Nothing wrong with this though.
2) Lets assume that the average ToO team is composed of above average PvP players.
3) In regular Crucible, skill based matchmaking is enabled which means you will consistently play people at your skill level.
4) Trials does not factor in skill, rather it is connection based.
5) Based on all of the above, it is most likely that you will always play teams that are statistically better at Crucible then you.

No, it's the other way around, trials is based on skill and connection, while regular crucible is based upon nothing really

Or like this week it's about being bravo team and camping the center. Granted I've had my ass kicked in trials by some great players. But a majority of the guys I play against are not great players. I'd call them average cheap players.
