I will give him a chance... but the 'Destiny community' thing rubbed me the wrong way too. As you said, we were never the 'Halo community.' It scares me that we have another person that cares only about Destiny and all. Even Deej says he was in part picked because he was not a 'casual.' Everything is about Destiny, not Bungie.
Bungie has made it abundantly clear their standing community means nothing compared to the masses that joined due to Destiny. But I do always hope that if we complain long enough they will start to give a shit again. Two and a half years and counting, now.

You know you're not forced to stay here right? You could always go and make your own website for the people you think would enjoy a more classic b.net feel.

Bearbeitet von burritosenior: 7/21/2015 1:58:48 PMI think you are missing the point. If I left, it would mean I don't care about this place. The entire reason we complain is because we DO care and we DO want to stay.
-
And how long have people been complaining again? Almost three years now? If anything Bungie has continued to show that they're going to do the opposite of what the old community wants in an effort to create a new one to replace it. At some point you've gotta realize that you're being the equivalent of that stalker ex that can't get over the fact that the relationship is over.

2 1/2 years yep. And if we did not care about making it better, we would do exactly as you suggest. Unfortunately, that is not the reality despite Bungie's best efforts.

A conpany that strived for community interaction is not an ex. It still isn't a very well thought out comparison.
-
No it actually is. Bungie clearly isn't interested in a relationship with the old community anymore and you're still going on about how you can "fix" a relationship that the other party has no interest in maintaining. Bungie moved on, so you can do one of three things. Stick around and accept the fact that you're no longer Bungie's target audience. Join Bungie's new target audience. or Pack up your things and leave.

It would be the same if Bungie were not interested at all. But as they have demonstrated time and time again, they always make promises to vets and tell the vets how important they are and how they meed to stay. Then their actions are the opposite. There is an active attempt to change how Bungie behaves. And not even a half hour ago Deej replied positively to a post in a thread made by another Bungie Employee (whose purpose was to appeal to site veterans) that talked about largely this very issue. So... no. It really is not the same.

Maybe. But as we do not want to leave because we care about our community we have been in for close to or over a decade dependig on the person, we will keep at it.

I'm been complaining about this website since Osama Bin Laden was alive. Shit.
