Whether some guardians want to admit it or not the simple fact of the matter is that Destiny's crucible is not on a dedicated server. This means that people CAN lag switch, lag switches are super easy and CHEAP, and if you put a motivation to cheat, people will cheat. Any multiplayer game out long enough eventually gets flooded with lag switchers, it's just a fact of life.
Here's the issue, this will ruin Trials of Osiris and in a game mode as important as that with so much at stake for the Guardians in game but also for Bungie and Destiny in general they can't afford to have that experience ruined by a single guy in a match or team with sudden red bars glitching all over the map.
I just want to get this thread popular enough so that Bungie notices it (since we can't comment on news anymore. I just want a response out of them that they know about it and will stay on top of it by punishes those that do it (they can tell).
Have you experienced lag switching in Crucible (especially Iron Banner). Basically you're unloading a full clip into a guy but he doesn't die, all the sudden your dead and he's glitching halfway across the map and he's the only one with a red bar.
Edit: I added a video example of some lag switching for those confused on what it looks like. Notice how you get melee'd from across two walls and a pipe even the shield had started to recharge already. Then the guy glitches around after and he is the only one with a red bar.
