A lot of us guardians do nightfalls. i know i do. but i cant say that it's really fun. It's like Iron Banner. you don't have fun with it but you still do it for those sweet rewards. we all enjoy the raids but i can't say that nightfalls are that fun, though. what do nightfalls and raids have in common? their challenging. but what's the difference? in raids, you're running and gunning around the map killing all the enemies either before the time runs out, to keep them from reaching the objective, etc. But in nightfalls, you're just hiding in the safe spot with your ice breaker/LDR and taking potshots at enemies and try to kill them before they jump behind a wall and let their shields regenerate and pray to god they don't see you. you see, in nightfalls, it's just simply too hard to have fun. if you get shot three times, or get melee punched once, you die. and you have to start the whole strike all over again. that's why you just do the boring, repetive thing over and over again in nightfalls: 1: Fire individual sniper shots and get back behind cover every five seconds or so. repeat step one until you cleared the room or killed the boss. 2: make sure there is at least a 50ft distance between you and each enemy. 3: don't even think of close-to-medium range combat. 4: "become legend" as you are instantly mowed down by level 30 enemies if you let them see you. but in raids, you actually have to plan out strategies, and do the best effort to kill everything in sight as quickly as possible, and co-operate with you're team mates. So I have a few suggestions to improve nightfalls. 1: lower the damage and health enemies have but spawn them in greater numbers in raids, you're fighting hordes so hard and it feels like you're in a Micheal Bay movie and we all like it that way. mainly because it requires skill and strategy instead of finding a way to not get insta-killed the second you walk into a room. 2: matchmaking why do we have matchmaking for weekly heroics but not nightfalls? if you're afraid of people joining with blue weapons then don't allow anyone to enter a nightfall unless all their equipment is at least at legendary satatus 3: more week spots and interactions. okay, maybe not just for nighfalls, but for all the strikes. I like the devil walkers and Goliath tanks mainly because they have more weak spots. shooting at the walkers' legs and make them show their engines for additional damage or taking out the tank's thrusters and weaken it. but for strike bosses, you're just running around the map unloading all your ammo on the boss's head for 5-10 minutes. maybe for Sepiks Prime you can add a precision spot do temporarily disable his soul drain and teleporting for Phogoth, give him a wart or whatever on his brain that you can shoot to stagger him while he's using eye-blast. what about for the Nexus, you let us shoot one of his cannons to cripple them for a short time or temporarily disable his shield. And for Aksor, how about a weak-spot to stop him from teleporting. As for Valus Ta'aric, give make the missile pod on his back a precision spot so we can disable it temporarily or make his elbow or what ever a misprision spot where you can cause an x amount of damage to stagger him while he's endlessly shooting his minigun at you. Are these good improvements to nightfalls that bungie should add?
