Don't read this if you haven't played Deus Ex, its actually a spoiler.
So at the end of [spoiler]Human Revolution, I thought Jensen died? Atleast in my playthrough I'm pretty sure I killed the president of the company (or he died or something, can't remember) then my pilot died on one of the last missions by getting gunned down. Finally, Adam died at the end of the game no matter which ending I picked.[/spoiler]
So did I like make the wrong choices in my game or am I missing something here? How is there going to be a second game?

You can use [spoiler] tags to hide spoilers, you know. Just stick that at the beginning and the same thing at the end, with a slash before the s. Eidos Montréal has said that none of the in-game endings are canon.

Yeah maybe they wanted to be able to connect it to the older games because they weren't sure about a sequel yet.

To be honest I haven't played them but I researched the wiki to find answers about my question earlier. I wanna say they take place in 2052 and 2072 iirc from reading
