I run a hunter gunslinger as my main and I really enjoy it. There is just one thing that I have run into that is frustrating beyond belief. Tripmines. I only use tripmines as they are really the only 'nade that is actually worth any time. They are wonderful for luring people out of areas, hiding them by door ways in the crucible, sticking them to people, etc.
The one feature that I dont like about them is the ability to harm the thrower. There have been countless times where I'll be head deep in a fight with (insert ads here) to clear out some room. Now 1 of 2 things happen that cause my death.
1) The 'nade will be shot in the cross fire and explode in my face. YOU ARE DEAD
2) The enemy runs up to me with it stuck on and explodes in my face. YOU ARE DEAD
I honestly would like to see a buff for these grenades to prevent self harm. Other players incur no harm from my 'nades and I dont get hurt from theirs. Why is it just this one class of grenades that is super deadly to its owner? A fix on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

The other classes also get hurt by their grenades. I remember the days I main gunslinger, now I bladedance allday

I don't think this needs to be changed, they shouldn't be used as stickies.

For the same reason Warlocks can easily kill themselves with a Nova Blast if they're not careful. Or any character can easily kill themselves with a rocket launcher. Or that axiom bolts will often seek you. Your abilities are dangerous. Use them carefully. Other players are immune from your damage to prevent griefing, but you can still blow yourself up.

Maybe in pve. Some people think its overpowered in pvp though.
-
No offense, but you're just gonna have to get better at using them. Titans have the exact same problem, they can blind themselves, remove their ability to jump, even kill themselves. Don't panic with a trip-mine. And If you're gonna use a grenade in relatively CQB situations, use the swarm so you can't hurt yourself.
-
High risk/high reward just like Hunter supers. Yeah it can kill you, but it's also the single best and most versatile grenade in the game. And honestly, it's on you to learn how to not kill yourself with it.

I think they should nerf the throw distance. (You have to set it down) but buff the blast radius.

Yeah I've been killed by my own tripmine nades more than once. The first time was an honest mistake. Every time thereafter was my own carelessness. Explosive devices are generally not advisable in CQC engagements. Asking for a change here is much like asking for a damage reduction to rockets fired at your own feet.
STOP firing rockets AT YOUR DAMNED FEET!
